Prep Soccer Texas was in attendance during all three days of action in Dallas, covering dozens of matches and taking a look at hundreds of the players who got on the field during the extended weekend.

We'll continue to feature the players who impressed us with their games this week, this time in the 08 division, and as we continue to progress through the positions, today we'll look into the midfielders:

Jacobs appeared for the Sting Austin team that got two wins and one loss in the event. I got to watch her in a 3-2 loss to Richmond United on Monday, in which her team may not have gotten the result, but she still had a strong performance. Jacobs displayed great versatility, splitting her time between the midfield and right back, and delivered a great deal of intensity in both spots. When in the middle, she did a great job of supporting her team's offense with good passes in the final third and by appearing in the penalty box to finish chances. She was also active with her high press and, in one of her attempts, she managed to win the ball in the attacking half and create a good goalscoring opportunity for Sting.

Deckert and her Oregon Surf team returned home undefeated with two wins and one tie. I got to watch the team in their most competitive game, a 1-1 tie with [program_tooltip program_id='278665' first='Classics' last='Elite'] on Monday, in which she played as a central midfielder for them. Deckert was very dynamic in the center of the field and did solid work with the ball as she attempted to connect with the team's offense. She was excellent at creating space in congested areas with quick body moves and displayed great vision to find the attacking players in good spots. The midfielder also helped move the ball from Oregon's half to the opponent's with quick runs through the middle.

Bohannon was with the Solar SC team that secured a win and two ties in their matches over the weekend. She was one of the most productive players in her team's last match in the event, a 3-3 tie with De Anza Force on Monday. While most players on both sides were showing clear signs of being exhausted, Bohannon continued to move around and look for the ball as she tried to push her team forward and create chances. She appeared in many different spots in the final third and tried to connect with her teammates with her intelligent passing. Bohannon was also prolific in 1v1 situations and managed to draw some fouls around the penalty box that generated good opportunities for her team to score.

Moore played for the Richmond United team that completed its schedule in Dallas with two wins and one loss. I got to watch their last match in the event, a 3-2 win over Sting Austin, in which she was arguably the best player on the field, despite playing one age group up. Moore spent part of the match as an attacking midfielder and she was very dangerous on that spot, beating defenders off the dribble to progress the ball and dropping deeper to find the wide players with long, accurate passes. Moore also appeared on the left, playing a little bit more advanced, and stood out by beating defenders in space to create chances. She had a major impact on her team's victory by scoring with a beautiful shot from outside the penalty box and registering an assist with an excellent cross from the left.

Magnone and her Rockford Raptors team returned home with a positive balance after they won two matches and lost one in Texas. I got to watch them in a 4-1 loss to the [program_tooltip program_id='278678' first='Dallas' last='Texans'] on Monday where not a lot went well for the team, but left positively impressed by her fighting spirit. She spent most of the match as a defensive midfielder and did a very good job of covering ground and bringing intensity to the team, besides contributing to their buildup by coming closer to the defenders to get on the ball. Magnone was moved to the backline as the Raptors looked to get better defensive stability and managed to win many duels while also showing good pace to cover her teammates when they were beaten.

Clark was part of the FC Dallas team that produced two wins and one loss in the event. I was on the sidelines when they topped Minnesota Thunder Academy 1-0 on Monday and got to witness a solid performance from her. Clark played as a left-sided midfielder and helped Dallas stretch the field, making nice runs out wide and combining well with left back [player_tooltip player_id='169152' first='Jordan' last='Bryant']. A technical player, she also did a good job of coming inside to make plays and getting into the penalty box to finish them. As her team fought to confirm their victory in the final minutes, Clark also displayed great commitment and determination, dropping back and helping them block the left side of their defense.
