All I know is that there will be a lot more players in the next few weeks and months making their commitments. In this article, I will be featuring some of the players I've covered this season in high school and club competition. It is always a pleasure to support these players and their families in the next chapter of their soccer journey. Here are early commitments from the class of 2026.

Women's Soccer

Player - College - Gr. [player_tooltip player_id='172607' first='Elyssa' last='Hernandez'] - Seattle University - 2026 - Hollister - [program_tooltip program_id='283257' first='Bay' last='Area Surf'] ECNL G08

3. [player_tooltip player_id='82736' first='Sophia' last='Canepa'] - Kansas - 2026 - Connections Academy - [program_tooltip program_id='283641' first='De' last='Anza Force'] ECNL G08

4. [player_tooltip player_id='111243' first='Parisa' last='Abedi'] - Hawaii - 2026 - Los Altos - [program_tooltip program_id='283257' first='Bay' last='Area Surf'] ECNLG085

5. [player_tooltip player_id='83851' first='Angie' last='Cao'] - Columbia (NY) - 2026 - Saint Francis - [program_tooltip program_id='278033' first='MVLA' last='ECNL'] G08

In this match, The junior forward and North Carolina commit, [player_tooltip player_id='111251' first='Maggie' last='Currie'] put on a show highlighting her skills as the #10 player in her class and #4 in position. Every time she received the ball, she kept the crowd on their heels as she had the ability to break games wide open. Her calculative moves, quick change of gear, and her explosive runs was a sight to see.

Maggie competed in the U.S. U17 WYNT in the 2025 CONCACAF Women's Qualifiers in Trinidad & Tobago. The team qualified for the U17 World Cup.

https://twitter.com/USYNT/status/1910360351629021614

During an ECNL G08 matchup between [program_tooltip program_id='283312' first='Davis' last='Legacy'] and [program_tooltip program_id='283257' first='Bay' last='Area Surf'], the U17 Salvadoran National Team member and Seattle University D1 commit played a solid game at the RCB position. [player_tooltip player_id='172607' first='Elyssa' last='Hernandez'] has a smooth change of direction move that can twist up hard-pressing opponents. She also makes clean and precise passes to nearly any spot on the pitch. One of her signature plays is sending a long ball right to the feet of her teammates or sending it perfectly behind the defense when they are running in full stride. Her movements and closing techniques are top-notch. Elyssa recently competed in the 2025 CONCACAF Women's Qualifiers in Trinidad & Tobago.

https://twitter.com/BayAreaSocScout/status/1901852351457374651

Elyssa - College Recruitment

https://twitter.com/BayAreaSocScout/status/1890608376247136730

It was an ECNL G08 matchup between [program_tooltip program_id='283434' first='Pleasanton' last='Rage'] and [program_tooltip program_id='283641' first='De' last='Anza Force']. [player_tooltip player_id='82736' first='Sophia' last='Canepa'], although coming off of an injury and playing at about 80%, did a great job with Rogers, and they both held the line after the early goal. Force plays a two- or sometimes three-back formation, and the players always keep their form when moving to different areas on the pitch. Both of these players have high-level passing skills and can step into lanes and break down the attack with clean tackles or switching as players make diagonal or overlapping runs. Canepa got the assist on the first Force goal by sending a long pass from a distance over the defense to [player_tooltip player_id='82602' first='Abby' last='Nelson'], who sent it to the far side netting.

https://twitter.com/BayAreaSocScout/status/1907629790938673562

Sophia - College Recruitment

https://twitter.com/SophiaCanepa08/status/1824151481530089767

During this ECNL G08 matchup between [program_tooltip program_id='283312' first='Davis' last='Legacy'] and [program_tooltip program_id='283257' first='Bay' last='Area Surf'], [player_tooltip player_id='111243' first='Parisa' last='Abedi'], the Hawaii commit, got the second goal as a teammate made a sweet change of direction play and slipped her a pass just outside the 18, and she went 1v1 with the goalkeeper before sending it to the back post. Hawaii will be glad to have her on the offensive side, as she'll provide high pressure and find open pockets in the attacking third.

https://twitter.com/BayAreaSocScout/status/1901874476708724834

It was a cool, yet beautiful and sunny day in Mountain View, CA. The Archbishop Mitty Monarchs came in as the 6th ranked team in CA to reclaim the first place standing in league play. While the Saint Francis Lancers, the 5th-ranked team in CA, are looking to exact revenge for the season's lone defeat. Every time these teams meet on the pitch, the crowd will be in store for an epic matchup. In summary, this matchup could be considered equivalent to an all-star game, as both sides fielded some of the best players in the region and in the state.

In this match, [player_tooltip player_id='83851' first='Angie' last='Cao'] the Columbia (NY) commit was a solid center back with great technical skills and made hard challenges to stop runs through the middle. She is good at anticipating diagonal runs and cutting off attacking lanes with quick and decisive moves. Her ability to run from touchline to touchline shows a high fitness level. She can also support counterattacks when her team is pressing. She plays club soccer for MVLA.

https://twitter.com/mittywsoccer/status/1762733820795904323

Discount Code for first time subscribers: Use code almasin30 for 30% off subscription.

https://twitter.com/BayAreaSocScout/status/1901345676673610217
