Texas Goalkeepers to Watch at ECNL North Carolina

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The ECNL Girls League is set to host its last National Event of the 2024-2025 season this weekend, when teams from all over the country will head to Greensboro, North Carolina.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Set to take place at the Bryan Park Soccer Complex between Friday and Sunday, the ECNL North Carolina will be the 12th national event organized by the league in the season and will reunite 198 teams in the U15, U16 and U17 age groups.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The state of Texas will be represented in the event, with 13 club teams from the Lone Star State making the trip, and we'll take the week leading up to the tournament to highlight some of the top prospects who will be on the field over the weekend. Present in multiple US Soccer ID camps, she's an extremely technical goalie, who has a well-developed game for her age. Furkholder is not super tall or athletic, but never puts a foot wrong between the posts and is as capable of making spectacular saves as anyone. The mental side of her game is another of her strengths and she's extremely consistent, mature and confident to make plays in the box. Explosive and reliable between the posts, she's one of the team's standouts and a key piece in their defensive system. Dobrowolski has solid technical foundations in her game and the same mindset as every elite goalkeeper as she'll do whatever it takes keep the ball off the net. Standing at 5'11", she uses her big frame and long arms to cover a huge area between the posts, but is extremely agile too, reacting quickly to unpredictable situations and getting to he ground in no time. Arnold uses her length to dominate the box in set pieces and crosses, but is also mobile enough to get off her position to get to long passes behind the backline. Her impressive shot-impressive skills, superior reflexes and great athleticism help her make up for her limited length between the posts, giving her the ability to make excellent saves. Brown is also very strong from a mental standpoint, being capable of sustaining prolonged periods of pressure. Combining excellent technical and physical tools, she's been one of the top goalkeepers in the country for a few years now and continues to refine her game. Thanks to her length and explosiveness, Tetmeyer can get to any shots fired to the goal and her calm and focus consistently get her in good spots to make saves.
