Elite-level players and players on the rise.

USE THE PROMO CODE almasin30 for a discount on your first subscription

As the June 15th date is rapidly sneaking up, it is essential for college coaches and scouts to get their list of top-level players on their recruiting agenda. I will be covering top-level players from top-tier clubs from both California and Arizona. With the CA players, I can honestly say that I've covered most of these players in either high school or ECNL competition. With some at least 4 times thus far, with a few in both levels of competition. As for the Arizona team, I've featured them in a few articles as well as covered them in competition in SoCal and recently at ECNL Phoenix.

The players featured are some of the best technical players in their positions for their age group as well as positive team players, who can definitely offer the same qualities in a Division I or Division II program. Some of the players are youth national team callups as well as prospects for non-domestic youth teams.

I look forward to covering them further at both ECNL and high school events, including some in their respective national playoff tournaments this summer. One thing I'm sure of, this group of players will definitely produce quality Division I and Division II talent. For a few, they might also have plans to play at some of the highest levels of women's soccer one day. Either way, I am grateful to be part of their soccer journey.

Featured Players:

[player_tooltip player_id='284813' first='Tatum' last='Michelle Gardner'] - [program_tooltip program_id='283245' first='Arizona' last='Arsenal'] ECNL - Forward - #6 in AZ, #3 in Position, and #23 in the Nation.

[player_tooltip player_id='112243' first='Maryn' last='Pratt'] - [program_tooltip program_id='283510' first='Utah' last='Royals FC-AZ'] ECNL - Defender - #1 in AZ, #1 in Position, and #163 in the Nation.

[player_tooltip player_id='112242' first='Maizey' last='Pratt'] - [program_tooltip program_id='283510' first='Utah' last='Royals FC-AZ'] ECNL - Forward/Midfielder - #4 in AZ, #2 in Position, and #164 in the Nation.

[player_tooltip player_id='262616' first='Aris' last='Yu'] - [program_tooltip program_id='283257' first='Bay' last='Area Surf'] ECNL - Defender/Midfielder - #56 in CA, #32 in Position, and #206 in the Nation.

[player_tooltip player_id='202653' first='Everleigh' last='Porter'] - [program_tooltip program_id='283641' first='De' last='Anza Force'] ECNL - Midfielder/Forward - #64 in CA, #44 in Position, and #214 in the Nation.

Player Evaluations:

[player_tooltip player_id='284813' first='Tatum' last='Michelle Gardner'] - [program_tooltip program_id='283245' first='Arizona' last='Arsenal'] ECNL

She is an elite player who has the ability to finish from varying ranges in the attacking third. Her clinical likes include delivering power shots from range and driving into the penalty area and slipping past a GK, as well as finding soft spots in the defense while running into space. Tatum has a high soccer IQ, and she has excellent tactical awareness and positions herself in open pockets to give her team high-percentage scoring opportunities. One of her goals at the spring ECNL Phoenix was close to perfection. The USYNT U16 player is already on many scouts' radar. It will be great to see which power 4 conference is lucky enough to land her.

Tatum's Highlights: ECNL Phoenix - Set-piece goal from range

https://twitter.com/BayAreaSocScout/status/2038298393450336413?s=20

[player_tooltip player_id='112243' first='Maryn' last='Pratt'] - [program_tooltip program_id='283510' first='Utah' last='Royals FC-AZ'] ECNL

I've covered Maryn with her ECNL [program_tooltip program_id='283510' first='Utah' last='Royals FC-AZ'] team on multiple occasions in the past two years. She is always consistent in making clean tackles and starting counterattacks from the backline. While previously evaluating her at the 2025 National Playoffs and most recently at ECNL Phoenix, she is definitely a player who will not disappoint. Maryn is ranked #1 in AZ and #1 in position and #163 in the nation as a defender. She was called to the U15 USYNT earlier in October 2025 for a camp in Portland, OR. She is definitely a key piece on the defense end, and it will be great to see her compete in upcoming ECNL tournaments as well as get more opportunities as a USYNT call-up. She will continue to develop into a solid Division I player.

Maryn's Highlights: [program_tooltip program_id='283510' first='Utah' last='Royals FC-AZ'] vs. Sporting California - G09 Matchup

https://twitter.com/BayAreaSocScout/status/1917808309584945259?s=20

[player_tooltip player_id='112242' first='Maizey' last='Pratt'] - [program_tooltip program_id='283510' first='Utah' last='Royals FC-AZ'] ECNL

She is a top-level player who was previously invited to USYNT camps. As a freshman starter, she scored 19 goals and provided 11 assists. As a sophomore, she contributed 16 goals and provided 13 assists to help her team to a 14-5-2 overall finish and a first-place 5-0 league championship. While watching her play, you will see her turn on the afterburners and get by defenders. Her quick decisions and ability to read the defense get her into open pockets, which allow her to make quality runs at goal. At the ECNL playoffs last season, she showed her athleticism as she made an almost perfect somersault after scoring a goal. She's a high-energy player who can definitely put up goals at the next level. Division one scouts will be calling soon, and it will be great to see if she decides to stay on the west coast or move to cooler weather.

[player_tooltip player_id='262616' first='Aris' last='Yu'] - [program_tooltip program_id='283257' first='Bay' last='Area Surf'] ECNL

I've evaluated Aris in more than 6 matches, including at the high school and ECNL levels. The one thing that consistently stands out about her game is her leadership qualities in remaining calm under pressure. Her ability to stay focused during the ebbs and flows speaks volumes. She is a leader who leads by example. I've seen her make counterattacking runs to get her team needed goals. Her other strength is in reading the attack. Thus, allowing her to get into the right lanes to make clean tackles or force players to the wings. She and her parents should expect a busy June 15th, as Surf had one of the most scouts in attendance (100+) at one of their ECNL matches in Phoenix. Her surf team will be one of the four top teams to represent the U.S. in the UK. I can't wait to see which top-level Division one program will fit her best. Also, looking forward to seeing her and her surf team at the national playoffs.

Aris's Highlights: ECNL Phoenix Nov 2025 Highlights

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fNsyVM3M2io&t=7s

[player_tooltip player_id='202653' first='Everleigh' last='Porter'] - [program_tooltip program_id='283641' first='De' last='Anza Force'] ECNL

I've previously evaluated her in at least 7 other events ranging from high school, ECNL, COPA ID Camp, and USL W-League competition. Everleigh is a talented player who has accomplished a lot at different stages in her soccer journey. She won an ODP Far West Championship only a few days after returning from competing in Europe with the U.S. Youth Futsal team (USYF) this past summer. She completed her third year competing with a USYF team. In 2024, she served as a captain of the U-16, which won the 2024 World Championship in Malaysia. Her ability to be an impact player at multiple stages will definitely get her a bunch of calls on June 15th. The experience competing in friendlies at Manchester and London, England, with the USYF U-19 squad will definitely help her to become a well-rounded player. One of her strengths is having the ability to make an impact as a playmaker and scorer. Her high soccer IQ and 99th percentile PSAT score will definitely put her in a position for a high-major ACC or Ivy League program.

Everleigh's Highlights: Class of 2028

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uy6oKYxV6TY

I was also fortunate to have asked some of the players to answer six soccer questions. Here are the questions and their responses.

1. What are three of your strengths as a soccer player?

2. When did you and your parents decide that you would want to be a collegiate soccer player?

3. What are some of the things you are currently doing to prepare for your college soccer journey?

4. What has been your most memorable soccer moment or moments at the state tournament or as a soccer player thus far?

5. Is there a club, collegiate, or professional soccer player who inspires you?

6. Where do you see yourself or hope to be in your soccer journey in 5–6 years?

Everleigh's Responses:

1. I play smart, I have strong technical skills, and I lead and communicate well on the field.

2. After growing up as a multi-sport athlete, I shifted my focus from basketball to soccer. Seeing some of my older club teammates committing and hearing my mom's stories of her experience playing college soccer helped solidify my decision.

3. I look for chances to train and compete against older, faster, and stronger players, and I spend a lot of time watching soccer. I am also actively researching colleges and soccer programs to find the right fit. I'm paying attention to things like the coaching staff, their game model and philosophy, and especially the team culture.

4. One was winning the IFA World Futsal Championship against Team Australia in Malaysia. My USA teammates and I put everything we had into each game and there were a lot of ups and downs. After going to overtime in the finals, we won and traded jerseys with the Australian team.

5. Yes! Rose Lavelle, Claire Hutton, and Lily Yohannes because I love how they play with so much creativity and poise.

6. I hope to be contributing to a college program that is a good fit and play alongside teammates who I create lifetime memories with.

Aris's Responses:

1. 1) Joining the attack from the outside back position — I enjoy contributing offensively by making overlapping runs, creating width, and helping generate scoring opportunities while still maintaining defensive balance.

2) Reading the game defensively — One of my strengths is anticipating plays, recognizing attacking patterns early, and positioning myself well to intercept passes and defend effectively.

3) Movement off the ball and recovery runs — I work hard both on and off the ball, making smart runs to support teammates and quickly tracking back defensively after pushing forward in the attack.

2. I decided that I wanted to pursue collegiate soccer during my transition to [program_tooltip program_id='283257' first='Bay' last='Area Surf'] more than 3 years ago. Seeing players from the older age groups commit to college programs really motivated me and helped me realize that playing soccer at the collegiate level was something I wanted to work toward. My parents have been very supportive throughout the process and encouraged me to pursue both my athletic and academic goals.

3. I am working hard to stay fit and continue improving my game technically and tactically. I'm also researching different schools by learning about their campuses, coaching staffs, academic programs, and styles of play to find programs that would be a good fit for me both athletically and academically. In addition, I focus on maintaining strong grades and being a good captain for my team.

4. One of my most memorable soccer moments was reaching the Final Four at the ECNL Playoffs Finals last summer in Virginia. It was especially meaningful because it was the first time our team had ever made the playoffs, so making such a deep run together was an incredible experience. It showed how much our team had grown and how hard we had worked throughout the season.

5. Marta Vieira da Silva is a player who inspires me, and I often watch her game film. I admire her creativity, soccer IQ, and the way she reads the game so well. She always seems to make the right decision at the right time, and I look up to the leadership, composure, and passion she brings to the field.

6. I'm not completely sure yet, but I hope to continue playing and competing at a high level. I want to keep developing as both a player and a person, compete at the collegiate level, and continue challenging myself academically and athletically.
