About Katelyn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My playing style is fast, tactical, and physical. I use my speed and strength to create opportunities while maintaining strong field awareness. My excellent first touch helps me control the ball under pressure, and I am confident taking on defenders with my dribbling ability. I also deliver accurate, well-timed crosses that create scoring chances for my team.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a happy, energetic personality that carries onto the field. I bring positive energy to every training session and game while helping create a supportive and competitive environment for my teammates. My passion for the sport drives me to work hard, stay focused, and give my best effort. I believe my positive attitude, strong work ethic, and determination are some of my greatest strengths.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have maintained a 4.0 GPA and earned straight A's throughout high school. I am a member and officer of the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS), demonstrating leadership and commitment beyond the classroom. In 2026, I received the Integrity and Ethics Award, recognizing my character, responsibility, and dedication to doing the right thing.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As an NJHS officer, I have developed strong leadership, teamwork, and community service skills. I help support and motivate members in meeting their service commitments while leading by example. This role has taught me the importance of accountability, communication, and maintaining a positive attitude.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I suffered a broken wrist that required six months in a cast. Despite the injury, I stayed committed to training and continued participating as much as possible. I worked through physical discomfort, bulky casts, and restrictions while maintaining a positive mindset. The experience strengthened my resilience, mindset, and overall outlook. It reminded me how much I love the game and why I do it!

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a Division I program with a strong coach and competitive teammates where I can continue to develop, be coached and challenged, and contribute to something greater than myself.
