About Abby

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my gameplay style as disciplined, composed, and relentless. I defend with intensity and strong positioning, communicate well, and stay calm under pressure. Whether at center back or wingback, I play with energy, vision, and a team-first mindset.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m driven, disciplined, and competitive, with a team-first mindset. I hold myself to high standards, stay composed under pressure, and embrace challenges as opportunities to grow. I lead by example through my work ethic, positivity, and accountability both on and off the field.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am in National Art Honor Society, Best Buddies Service, and have received Cardinal Scholar Q1-Q4 Freshmen and so far Q1-Q2 Sophomore year. I’ve maintained straight A’s in all of my honors classes and was accepted into the National Society of High School Scholars. These accomplishments reflect my commitment to academic excellence and leadership beyond soccer.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed strong leadership and communication skills, especially as a center back where organization and accountability are key. I value teamwork and consistently put the team first. Balancing high-level soccer with honors academics has also strengthened my discipline and time management.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes. Stepping into varsity as a freshman and competing in ECNL pushed me to adjust quickly to faster, stronger competition and higher expectations. I chose to see it as motivation, which strengthened my resilience, confidence, and ability to perform under pressure.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a competitive college program that values intensity, accountability, and strong team culture. I want a school that challenges me both academically and athletically, where I can compete at a high level, grow under demanding coaches, and be part of a driven, supportive community.

She is good at making aerial challenges and plays well with the ball at her feet. Abby’s versatility as a midfielder is evident in quick and precise passing as well as her ability to assess the game and make great decisions on both ends of the field. I really liked her ability to cut off runners. Her size and quickness were some of her strengths in slowing down some of the higher-ranking teams in the tourney. She’s a player scouts should take a good look at, as she’s a player we will be hearing a lot about in the near future.
