JR Eskilson | Prep Soccer Scout
Goodin is a center back on the Sting Black 2010 ECNL team. She had a spectacular 2025 especially during the postseason run in the North America Cup for her squad. She’s been just as good during the Fall Season at the ECNL level. Her Sting Black team has only suffered defeat twice during that part of the season. Goodin has impressed with her defensive instincts and leadership. She’s a key fortress of the back line that has only let in more than one goal in one game this season. Goodin does well standing up defenders with her defensive technique and tackling ability. She’s also good in retaining possession for her side with her passing.

Goodin was very efficient in central defense for Sting. A physical center back, she was excellent at defending the team’s penalty box and also did very well when she had to step up and defend in space, making it very difficult for Albion’s attackers to get into good positions to score. Goodin made a key defensive action in one of the last plays of the match, stopping

Goodin anchored Sting Black’s backline and had an excellent performance against Eclipse Select. Playing as a left-sided center back, she displayed very strong defensive skills, blocking most of their opponents’ attempts on her side. Goodin uses her physical tools very well to dominate the space and win duels, but is also a cerebral defender, who successfully cuts passing lanes and reads plays to make interceptions. She was incredibly calm and confident and calm on the ball, playing a major role in her team’s buildup. The center back would not only confidently make line-breaking passes through the middle, but also drive the ball forward until an opponent got close to her.
