About Angelica
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I am creative and take risk in gaps and slammed opportunities that open. I use skills and smart thinking to loose players or create space for my teammates. Love scoring goals and long shots.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I love this sport and each day grow to love it more. I believe nothing is given, for everything must be earned. Open to challenges because when you give 100% the growth begins to show. I also believe the mental aspect is equal to the physical and everything we do in life is a choice, including our diet, surroundings and dedication to things we do.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
Yes I started an organization where you create a team and play for money in a volleyball tournament to increase and create the community of our school. I also help my grandma provide for other and donation for pets and animal shelters. I donate to the organizations for the bombs happening outside the U.S and help my church in kids youth.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I have developed discipline, and trust in my abilities and in God. Learning one step everyday is worth more than a leap and stopping. I have also grown in my leadership in my teams, teaching myself and others its worth more the quality and doing the right thing always. No blame, No complain, No defend. Most importantly learned to love and just enjoy the game because no one can take that away.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
Yes, soccer was ruined for me by a coach and told I will never be good. Had to go from all the way back to wreck, then joined RL-NTX and then moved up to RL. Now I will be joining ECNL and the growth was not once easy or given but with all the time, food and training. But mostly my faith in God that these challenges were lessons and growth not just problems or set backs. Now I am humble and ready.
What type of college are you looking for?
I would love a college with a good and supportive community, where I can be friends and also get a good amount of hardship and work as well. I want to join a college where they dedicate their life to become better and willing to help me grow even seeing my flaws. I would like a college that can also help me be with my family and be as supportive as well.
