How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Versatile and disciplined player who excels as a CDM and CB, controlling tempo, breaking up attacks, and linking play with composure, while also bringing defensive awareness, aerial strength, and the ability to build from the back.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I bring a strong mentality and team-first personality, always focused on elevating those around me. Through communication, encouragement, and tactical awareness, I help teammates stay organized and confident. My mindset is built on resilience, composure under pressure, and leading by example, allowing me to positively influence the team’s performance and create an environment where others thrive.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

No.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed leadership and teamwork by guiding and supporting others both on and off the field. In games, I lead through communication, organization, and by example, helping teammates stay sharp and connected. At school, I apply the same qualities by supporting classmates who need structure or study help, always focused on creating an environment where everyone can succeed.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, a challenge I faced was at U15, when I wasn’t seen as one of the top players by my coach. Instead of getting discouraged, I stayed focused on my development, worked on my weaknesses, and trusted the long-term process. That experience built my resilience and taught me the value of patience, consistency, and self-belief.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am seeking a soccer program that pairs strong academics with a demanding athletic environment. The ideal fit is a university with a rigorous STEM curriculum, where I can be challenged in the classroom while competing at a high level on the field. I value programs that emphasize both personal growth and team success, supporting student-athletes to excel in academics, athletics, and leadership.

Aguilar will be one of the pillars of the Dallas Hornets ‘ U19 team that is set to play against Springfield SYC, Silicon Valley Soccer Academy and San Francisco Glens SC in the event in Arizona. A defensive midfielder, he does a great job of shielding the team’s backline with high intensity and well-timed tackles. Aguilar also stands out for his ability to read plays and intercept passes and does very well when isolated out wide to defend. A reliable and intelligent passer, he plays a major role in the team’s buildup, breaking pressure lines with accurate deliveries and, at times, finding forwards in good spots up top with long balls.
