Monge made a major impact on GFI’s 6-0 win over SPSA 2011 Red Elite Boys in the U15 division. The defender not only helped his team earn a clean sheet but also contributed offensively, registering an assist. Monge started the match on the right side of GFI’s back three and helped his team turn heavy possession into real chances with excellent passing. When his team switched to a back four, he moved to right back and continued to support their offense, now stepping more often into the attacking half and combining with his teammates. In both positions, Monge was very solid defensively, doing well in 1v1 duels and knowing when to step forward to intercept passes and press opponents.
