Morrison and his HTX team advanced all the way to the U16 Blue division semifinals, leaving the tournament with four wins and one loss. Despite playing one age group up with them, he’s one of the pillars of their defensive system, playing as a left-sided center back. Extremely mobile and intelligent, he does a great job of keeping opponents under pressure and forcing them away from the penalty box. He was a stud for HTX’s 15s team in the last ECNL season despite playing one age group up and is on the USYNT radar, having been on some ID camps over the last year. Capable of playing anywhere across the backline, Morrison is a tenacious defender, who thrives in 1v1 duels and times his sliding tackles extremely well, consistently coming out with the play after a clean play. He also has great quality and confidence in possession, helping his team push the ball forward with runs through the middle or the flanks.
