Guilherme Torres | Prep Soccer Scout
Park shone as GFI Academy topped Los Angeles SC 2-0 in their second Group D match in the U16 Division. He played as a second forward, with the freedom to roam in the final third, and made the most of it to set up the team’s best attacking plays. The left-footed playmaker drifted to the right wing when he saw the space there and was very good at taking opponents 1v1. Park also demonstrated excellent vision to get teammates in great spots inside the penalty box with intelligent first-time passes.

Involved in two of GFI Academy’s three goals, Park was their main offensive player in the match. He played in a somewhat free role behind the team’s striker and made the most of his positional freedom, consistently popping up in pockets of space to get on the ball. Park was very good at making plays out wide and also at dropping deeper and delivering accurate first-time passes that set up dangerous transition plays. He hit a perfectly-placed free-kick shot to score the team’s first goal and moved extremely well to be an option in the play of the second goal.

Parker was GFI’s most consistently dangerous player in the match and got involved in both of the team’s goals. A dynamic attacking player, he had the freedom to roam all over the field and used it extremely well, quickly identifying the best spots to get on the ball and make plays, at times dropping all the way back to get it directly from the center backs. He operated more to the right side of the attack and was very good at dribbling the ball forward and combining with the players around him. Parker scored the team’s first goal with a well-placed shot in the lower corner and had some other good finishes throughout the match.

Park is an attacking player for GFI, and he got the 23rd spot in our Class of 2029 State Rankings. He played up with the club’s U15 team in the last MLS Next season and was consistently dangerous for them. A player who has attended multiple USYNT ID camps in the past, Park is versatile offensively, being capable of playing out wide as a winger or more centrally, behind a true striker. A lefty, he’s extremely skilled on the ball and thrives when facing defenders in 1v1 duels out wide, but can also make a difference when dropping deeper to get on the ball and send passes behind the backline. Park is also a great finisher, being able to send the ball right next to the posts with his skilled left foot.
