Perry made some good defensive actions, using her body to win duels and being very accurate with her tackles. The midfielder also stood out with her distribution, playing a central role in her team’s ball movement and showing calm and confidence to pass her way out of Bellaire’s press. Perry’s ability to make strong, direct runs in the center of the field and release the ball to the forwards at the right time proved valuable to Lamar and generated nice attacking plays for them, especially in the second half.

Perry captained the Lamar team that got to compete in the Warrior Bracket. One of the pillars of the team, the junior scored one of their goals in a Consolation Bracket 2-0 win over Ridge Point. Playing as a box-to-box midfielder, she provided some defensive support for the team while also appearing well in possession, moving well off the ball to offer options for her teammates and help them break the opponent’s pressure. Perry made a great run into the box and showed calm and composure to score the team’s first goal in the match.

Perry captains the Rise SC 09 team that will meet DKSC ‘ last=”] RL NTX G09 and DKSC ‘ last=”] RL G09 in this weekend’s event. A player with solid all-around skills, she can also play in midfield, but is mostly used in central defense for her club team. Perry’s defensive game is extremely well-rounded as she holds her own in physical duels, is strong in the air and also does a great job of cutting passing lines to gain possession of the ball without the need of a tackle. She’s also very comfortable on the ball and, besides playing an important role in the team’s buildup, can also positively impact their offense with intelligent long passes out of the back. As the team captain, Perry sets the tone with her hard work and consistently communicates with her teammates.

Playing to the right of Mansour in Lamar’s midfield, Perry was also very important in the team’s dominant performance. She was very active and used her ability to win duels and dispossess opponents to help her team dominate the center area of the field. The sophomore also did excellent work in possession, connecting very efficiently with the players around her and finding the team’s wide players in great spots on multiple occasions. She also had a good presence in the attacking penalty box and completed her excellent performance by scoring the team’s fifth goal.

Perry will lead Lamar in their campaign in the Warrior Bracket, which will start with a duel against Ridge Point. Her defensive game is very well-rounded as she knows how to use her body to win and retain possession and is also very good at reading the game and blocking passing lanes. Perry can also play in midfield and from there she can support the team’s offense with smart passing and dangerous shots from outside the penalty box. The defender also plays an important leadership role with the team, communicating well with her teammates and helping keep things organized.
