Spencer was the catalyst of her team’s Summer Creek 4-0 victory over Langham Creek in the Consolation round of the Warrior Bracket. Playing with full freedom as a second forward, she was a nightmare for opposing defenders, who had no answer to her game and couldn’t find ways to slow her down. Spencer combined very well with striker Addison Hancock, who she assisted after a beautiful play on the right. The forward also scored herself, winning the ball in the attacking half and dribbled past two defenders before sending the ball into the back of the net. Spencer’s runs were always very dangerous and she also distributed the ball well, facilitating many offensive plays.

Spencer and her Albion Hurricanes FC 07 teammates will have Utah Royals FC-AZ, Rockford Raptors and Legends FC San Diego. The forward is a new face with the team, having moved from HTX this season, and is taking their offense to another level with her dynamic play. Her ability to dribble the ball using her physical and technical tools causes all sorts of problems for opposing defenders, who have a hard time trying to stop her. Spencer can play out wide or more centrally and is lethal in 1v1 situations, making quick moves to beat defenders off the dribble. She’s also an amazing finisher, who can send the ball into the back of the net with a well-placed shot from inside the penalty box or with a rocket from distance.

A very talented offensive player, Spencer stars for Summer Creek at the high school level and appears for HTX 07 in the Girls Academy League. She’s a true all-around forward, who combines physical and technical tools, has great pace and is a lethal finisher. Because of that, Spencer can be used basically anywhere in the attack, but typically plays as an attacking midfielder/second forward with Summer Creek and on the right wing with HTX. She’s very dangerous with her runs and likes to finish from distance and also does a very good job of setting up combination plays through the middle and connecting with her teammates.

A forward with impressive physical and technical skills, Spencer will be a nightmare to those trying to stop her as she plays for Summer Creek this high school season. A University of Florida commit, she has the pace to beat defenders in space and the footwork to make it past them when there’s less room available. Spencer is typically very direct, taking the quickest route to goal, and is not a selfish player, assisting her teammates when they’re in a better position to score. She also finishes very well, putting power on the ball and sending it out of reach for opposing goalkeepers.

Spencer might be one of the most underrated players in Texas. I’ve seen her play for both high school and club – and I think she has been overlooked by many up until this point. When she plays at the high school level, it almost seems unfair. She freezes defenders with her close control and then she throws them off balance with a move and bursts past with her pace. She has excellent ball striking technique – albeit she does like to have the ball on her right foot when lacing one from outside of the box.
