PHOENIX, Arizona - The ECNL National Event in Phoenix was held over the weekend at the Reach 11 Sports Complex. PrepSoccer was on hand all three days of the event.

Check out the standouts from the games from the 2025 class (and one player from the 2024 class).

2025

[player_tooltip player_id='77963' first='Mia' last='Ochoa'], Legends 07 - I believe [player_tooltip player_id='77963' first='Mia' last='Ochoa'] was wearing #20 for Legends. She scored early in the game against Crossfire. She was a handful in the final third.

Lucy Carrel, Crossfire 07 - Technically really clean on the ball. Didn't lose possession of the ball. Seemed to always find the right pass. Abigail Mai was also a bright spot for the Crossfire Premier midfield.

Samantha Snorsky, Crossfire Premier 07 - Snorsky was the most effective player in the attack and through the midfield for Crossfire. She is clever on the ball with excellent close control. She looks like the type of player who will do well at the next level because she is comfortable in playing out of tight spaces.

Kassandra Rios, Legends 07 - Rios was a surprise from the Legends game. Haven't seen her play much previously. She did really well at center back. Made good passes. Strong in the tackle.

Kellianne Caldwell, FC Stars 07 - Scored the game-winner against Utah Avalanche on Friday on a grass-cutter shot to the near post.

Madison Recupero, FC Stars 07 - Recupero was excellent in the later stages of the game against Utah Avalanche. She was in the right spots to protect the defense. She was clean in possession and kept her side in command of the game.

Riley Mitza, FC Stars 07 - Mitza is listed as a forward on her player profile but I saw her play outside back. She was good at progressing the ball up the field on the dribble.

Abby Hanton, Utah Avalanche 07 - Hanton was excellent for Utah Avalanche. She was smooth on the ball. And presented a challenge to the opposition. At the next level, she could play as either a target forward or a support striker. She is a fluid athlete with a long stride as a runner.

Lauren Brodsky, Eastside FC 07 - Brodsky was a standout for Eastside in the win over Minnesota Thunder on Friday. She had a all-balanced game that was key to the shutout victory. Emily Duke was also excellent at center back for Eastside.

Olivia Danks, Eastside FC - The left back had an impressive engine as it seemed like she was always flying up and down the touch line. Danks hit a good cross with her left foot too.

Mia Draper Kunz, Eastside FC - Draper Kunz was a standout in the game against Minnesota Thunder, but she was also an example of the depth on the Eastside team. The line shift of the team brought a new energy to the game and the forward did well at creating chances and getting onto the end of passes. Emily Broel and Abigail Cameron were also excellent in the victory for Eastside.

Lauren Carroll, Minnesota Thunder Academy - Carroll is a versatile player who played in a couple of spots during the first half on Friday. She is a strong defender who reads the game well. She showed a high level of soccer intelligence.

Tenley Senden, Minnesota Thunder Academy - Big fan of Senden's game. She makes smart plays, gets to the right spots. Sawyer Danielson was another standout for Thunder.

Claire Mikola, Ohio Premier 06 - Really impressed with Mikola's performance against MVLA on Friday. She continues to make the case that she should be considered among the best left backs in the country in the 2025 class.

[player_tooltip player_id='18994' first='Addyson' last='Warner'], Del Mar Sharks - Ripped a shot into the upper 90 of the net in the opening minutes of Sharks' big win over Northwest Elite on Friday.

[player_tooltip player_id='19719' first='Kiana' last='Rebugio'], De Anza Force 07 - Rebugio seemed to always be on or around the ball for De Anza. The result for De Anza on Friday was not entirely fair. The Northern California side had a lot of the ball, but did not show much threat to get in behind. They really did well in possession though. They moved the ball quickly and played out of pressure. The side struggled in the final third in creativity, but Rebugio was excellent as the lynchpin. She played out of pressure and kept close control of the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='70549' first='Gianna' last='Nurisso'], De Anza Force 07 - Nurisso had a strong game at left back. She cut out a few passes with excellent position.

[player_tooltip player_id='58460' first='Brady' last='Campbell'], Slammers FC Koge 07 - Campbell had one of the best games for an outside back that I saw on the weekend. She was outstanding against the talent MVLA team. She won tackles, connected passes, and got forward to provide crosses. Her battle against MVLA's top attacking talent down the wing was fun to watch. It was a big time performance in front of a plethora of college coaches.

[player_tooltip player_id='19108' first='Anya' last='Lin'], MVLA 07 - Lin earned a standout mention for winning a pair of aerial duels. The left back had two crucial headers to clear a dangerous ball against Slammers FC Koge.

[player_tooltip player_id='20318' first='Tyra' last='Bogan'], MVLA 07 - Bogan stepped into the game early without a warm-up due to an injury. It was impressive how well she did in the circumstance. She didn't have to make any specular saves but she was good with the ball at her feet playing out of pressure. Allison Hou and [player_tooltip player_id='20043' first='Paige' last='Thompson'] were also standouts for MVLA.

Erin Palmeri, SUSA 07 - The center back for SUSA was very good in the win over Seattle United. She made a couple of timely tackles in the victory.

Kayla Pardini, SUSA 07 - Pardini scored the opening goal from a nearly impossible angle. She bodied the opposing center back off the ball and drilled the shot near post from a tight angle.

Olivia Bozzo, SUSA 07 - Bozzo was always in the right spots to protect the defense. She provided some key interceptions. On the ball, she did pinging the ball side-to-side. Ella Ledwith and Avril Nelson were bright spots as well for SUSA. They were creative forces that provided a bit of magic in the final third.

Alexandra Tay, Seattle United 07 - It was a difficult weekend for Seattle United in terms of results, but a number of the players should come away feeling great about their performances against some of the top teams in the country. Tay showed that she belonged in the conversation among best center backs.

Amelia Bray, Seattle United 07 - Bray had a few good moments in the win over SUSA. She is a skillful midfielder who had some slick footwork to break pressure and open up the game for her side. Seattle United was at their best when looking to play through Bray.

[player_tooltip player_id='19130' first='Ashlyn' last='Jones'], Legends FC 07 - Jones scored a goal off an assist from Scottie Antonucci on Saturday against FC Stars.

Julietta Marzot, FC Stars 07 - Marzot, the left center back for FC Stars, was outstanding against Legends. She really impressed with her composure during the game, and her ability to defend against dynamic playmakers against a talented Legends team.

[player_tooltip player_id='19054' first='Alyssandra' last='Faus-Deguzman'], San Diego Surf 07 - The right back for Surf did well getting forward and joining the attack.

Brooke Hendricks, Utah Avalanche 07 - Hendricks scored a goal against San Diego Surf. She was a constant threat up top for her side with her pace, strength, and skill. She also offers a flip-throw as a weapon in the final third.

[player_tooltip player_id='19112' first='Ariana' last='Markey'], Slammers FC 07 - Markey put in another solid shift at outside back in the shutout over Internationals. She is exactly the type of player who will do well at the next level: competitive, smart, and determined. [player_tooltip player_id='19734' first='Kyla' last='Brakefield'] was also good for Slammers.

Sophia Sindelar, Internationals 07 - Sindelar was a standout for Internationals against Slammers. She was a creative player in the midfield. She did well trying to find the runs of the forwards. She also seemed to always have control of the ball on her foot like it was attached with a magnet. Elizabeth Fetterman had a strong showing at center back.

Alivia Centeno, Ohio Premier 07 - Centeno, the goalkeeper, made the best save I saw over the weekend against Portland Thorns.

Cameron Goddard, Ohio Premier 07 - Really like the way Goddard plays. She seems the game in a way that not many youth players do and her passing and movement really standout from the ECNL level. She did well combining with Claire Highland in the win over Portland Thorns.

[player_tooltip player_id='19172' first='Avery' last='Oder'], LAFC So Cal 07 - Oder was the best player I saw on Saturday and arguably any day over the weekend. There is a reason that a whole coaching staff for a recent national championship team was on the sidelines on Saturday and Oder delivered for her fans. She should probably be considered among the best attacking midfielders in this class.

[player_tooltip player_id='19978' first='Morgan' last='Farnham'], LAFC So Cal 07 - A lot of goalkeepers at the youth level talk - and talk a lot during games - but it matters a lot more what they are saying. Farnham has organizational skills with her leadership and gives clear messages to her side. She did well in game management too once LAFC had the lead and firm control of the contest.

Samanta Neumeier, LAFC So Cal 07 - Neumeier had an excellent game against Bay Area Surf. Really strong showing at right back against a talented opposition. [player_tooltip player_id='19771' first='Layla' last='Simon'], [player_tooltip player_id='19412' first='Finley' last='Aghassi'] and [player_tooltip player_id='18997' first='Adrielle' last='Salvador'] were also standouts for LAFC So Cal.

[player_tooltip player_id='33318' first='Kaylee' last='Kim'], FC Bay Area Surf 07 - Kim scored a goal late in the game against LAFC So Cal as she took her chance well for the tally. [player_tooltip player_id='33320' first='Jocelyn' last='Travers'] was good for Surf as well.

Marit McLaughlin, Internationals 06 - McLaughlin was the key piece for Internationals' goal late in the first half. She made an excellent pass to breakdown the Slammers Koge defense. She did well turning out of pressure a few times as she used her body to shield the defender and let the ball run into space. She is a clever player in the midfield.

2024

Morgan Duke, Portland Thorns - Duke is an uncommitted (I believe) forward on the Portland Thorns 04/05 ECNL team who was playing with the Thorns' 06 team wearing #32 during this ECNL event. She was playing on a neighboring field from the one I was scouting but her performance against So Cal Blues was very impressive. She has great footwork and excellent vision. She did well in her combination play as a linking option at forward.
