The Texas Conference of the ECNL Girls League is going to have another busy week, with matches going on across the states of Texas, Oklahoma and Colorado. As we prepare to follow the exciting encounters that are going to take place, here are three sides to keep an eye on over the next few days:
DKSC G06/05
The team from Dallas will make the trip to Houston to face Albion on Saturday and Challenge on Sunday still looking for their first victory of the season after losses to FC Dallas and Sting Dallas Black and a tie with Dallas Texans. With the level of talent they have in their squad, it shouldn’t take long for them to get it. DKSC have a solid goalkeeper in Layla Amaya Layla Amaya GK TX and can form a very strong backline in front of her with new faces Beya Rosales and Tabitha Sine joining returners Sydney Williams Sydney Williams D Allen | 2024 TX and Lauren McIntyre. In midfield, Bryn Geppert Bryn Geppert D Wylie East | 2024 TX pulls the strings, helped by Lily Redding Lily Redding M TX . DKSC’s squad also features plenty of offensive options, with Alana Aiken, Alyssa Cox and Caroline Martin Caroline Martin F TX all having the ability to create and finish chances for them.
Classics Elite G07
After a five-match winless streak to start the season, the team from San Antonio gave the first signs of reaction at the end of September, beating a tough Sting Royal team. This weekend, they will have a chance to follow up on that at home, hosting Colorado’s Pride SC and Real Colorado Athletico. This, again, is a very skilled team, with plenty of options everywhere, starting at goalkeeper, with Melia Rodriguez Melia Rodriguez GK Johnson | 2025 TX and Libby Flores. Avelyn Zacharias anchors the backline while the midfield is stacked with Abigail Casey Abigail Casey null | M The Atonement Catholic Academy | 2025 State TX , Anna Darling Anna Darling M Boerne | 2025 State TX , Emilee Durante Emilee Durante M TX , Greer Kemmett Greer Kemmett M TX and Claire Navarro. Albion Hurricanes FC G08
The side from Houston has turned things around after dropping their season opener and got three wins and two ties in their most recent matches.
