Guilherme Torres | Prep Soccer Scout
Zukeran is a key player in Albion Hurricanes FC G08 ECNL’s midfield. The captain of the El Salvador youth national team, she has what it takes to pull the strings in the team’s offense, taking great care of the ball and intelligently dictating their offensive rhythm. Zukeran is at her best when used in the attacking midfielder role, as she does an excellent job of circulating in the final third and popping up in great spots to find the forward with accurate passes and finish from a distance. She can also play wide, mostly on the left, where she uses her dribbling ability to beat defenders and create chances.

The junior midfielder was the brains of Tompkins’ offense, getting involved in basically everything the team did in the final third. Zukeran moved around a lot and popped up in different spots to get on the ball and create chances. She was excellent at using quick turns to beat defenders off the dribble to create space and also thrived with her distribution, knowing when to work with quick combination plays or to make accurate switches. Zukeran also had a couple of dangerous shots and was a little bit unlucky for not scoring one.

Zukeran is a key player in the Tompkins team that will host the Falcon Bracket and will play Cy Creek in their first match. She’s very creative and dynamic in possession and does a great job of taking the ball from defense to the attack. Zukeran can be used more centrally, where her vision and passing make more of an impact, or on the left, where she can get isolated against opposing outside backs and take them in 1v1 situations. An El Salvador youth international, she thrives in the final third, knowing what do in every situation and executing it perfectly.

Zukeran was Albion’s most creative player during the match, consistently making good decisions with her distribution and connecting good passes. She wasn’t involved in many goalscoring opportunities in the first half, when Abion struggled to create, but her production improved in the second half. Zukeran started occupying the left side of the field and from there she initiated the play that resulted in the team’s equalizer with a nice individual play. The midfielder was very active during the entire match and displayed good consistency in her game.

Typically used as a central midfielder, Zukeran spent most of the time on the left against Jordan, operating as a wide playmaker. Although she didn’t get on the ball as frequently as she usually does, the sophomore was often in spots where she could be more dangerous, facing defenders in 1v1 situations. In the first half, she used her dribbling to bring the ball inside and create space quite a few times. In the second half, with Jordan giving up more space, she was excellent at igniting transition plays and was excellent at starting the play that resulted in the game-winning goal, bringing the ball inside and finding Coombs open with an inch-perfect through ball. Her movement off the ball also created a lot of space for her teammates.
