More and more young talent keeps emerging from the state of Texas, as the classes of 2025, 2026 and 2027 are brimming with future collegiate girls soccer players. In this two-part series from the Lonestar state, we will look at 12 athletes, six today and six more tomorrow.

Autumn Brown, Forward, Class of 2026

Brown is a sophomore at Kennedale High just outside of the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and plays club for the Dallas Texans 2007 ECNL team. She is versatile in that she can play any of the forward positions. She is a team-first player that displays great discipline and focus when on the pitch, she shows a strong passion for the game and is very hard-working.

Berklee McAllister, Defender, Class of 2025

McAllister plays her club with Solar SC, and is a junior at Prosper High, which is north of Plano. McAllister is a very fast defender, which allows her to thrive in either position. She can play in central defense or on the outside. McAllister has other traits you like to see out of a defender such as that she is very physical, and shows a high soccer IQ, allowing her to know where to be, when to step to the ball and what angles to take. She is a very vocal leader for the defense, she plays with a fire and a hunger. She is also very coachable and shows an outstanding work rate.

[player_tooltip player_id='112757' first='Isabella' last='Medina'], Striker, Class of 2026

Medina thrives in the striker role, but can also play as the No. 11, or drop behind the striker and play the No. 10 spot. She attends Crossbar Academy where she is a sophomore and her club is Rise where she plays on the 2008 GA team. Medina is a technical and creative player, one who makes plays to either find a way to get a shot on target or set her teammates up. She can do this because she has great vision. She is very committed to the sport, and she is a team-first player.

[player_tooltip player_id='152797' first='Elinor' last='Singler'], Central Midfielder, Class of 2027

Singler is a freshman at Flower Mound High, as she will debut for her high school in about a month's time. She plays for the Sting Black 2008 ECNL/RL team. As a center mid, she displays great vision and awareness, which is what you need from someone in the center of the pitch. She sees the angles well, allowing her to shut down an attack before it builds up, allowing her to present herself as an option for the ball and helps her find an open teammate when facilitating.

[player_tooltip player_id='91125' first='Shaylin' last='Taylor'], Striker, Class of 2027

Taylor, like Singler, is a freshman, and will make her school debut this winter season. She attends Frisco High, and plays club for FC Dallas on the 2009 ECNL team. Taylor is an out and out striker, one who absolutely loves to put goals in the back of the net. She is a very skillful player, and beyond having great skill and ability, she loves to compete. She makes plays because of her abilities and because of her passion.

Photo: Dallas Texans

[player_tooltip player_id='21272' first='Layla' last='Thompson'], Midfield/Forward, Class of 2025

Thompson is a junior at Hebron High, and plays for FC Dallas, playing for the 2007 ECNL team. She is a dynamic and versatile player who can feature as both a forward and a midfielder and thrives in either spot. She shows excellent creativity when on the ball, and shows a great passion and competitive drive when on the pitch. She is committed to the game and works very hard, putting her team first at all times. She is solid in every facet of the game.
