DKSC Thanksgiving Showcase – Players to Watch – U16

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The club soccer action won't stop in Texas during the Thanksgiving weekend as Dallas-based club D'Feeters Kicks Soccer Club (DKSC) will host a popular Showcase for teams from the U15, U16, U17 and U19 age groups from Friday to Sunday.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The event will reunite 88 teams in the four age groups and will feature representatives from several club leagues, including the ECNL and Girls Academy, and some of the most promising players in the state.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Let's take a look at some interesting players who will be in action at Cox Fields, Veterans Pak and R.E. She has good reflexes between the posts and is the type of goalkeeper that won't risk anything with her saves, always going with the safest option. Crawford also uses her body well when she needs to step up to stop an incomign attacker and often gets stops with her legs. Gilbert moves very well with and without the ball and that puts her in a position to make plays. She can play behind a true striker, dropping deeper to get the ball and make runs through the middle, or stay up top, using her positioning to get on the end of crosses and passes inside the penalty box.
