Senior Madison Lambert Madison Lambert F Jordan | 2024 TX is the team’s main playmaker and feeds freshman Julia Cleary and junior Hannah McCurdy up top.
Lamar
The Texans were the top team in District 18 with an undefeated campaign of ten wins and two ties. The team advanced from the bi-district round with a tight 1-0 win over Northbrook. Lamar’s entire season has had 12 wins, five losses and two ties so far, with 80 goals for and 24 against.
After playing forward last year, junior Chifum Ibekwe moved to goalkeeper and has been very reliable for them. Sophomores Marley Reese and Linnea Scheet give the team’s backline some stability at center back. Lamar’s midfield is one of the team’s main strengths, with senior Jojo Pastore and sophomore Nahomy Portillo displaying great creativity and finishing skills, while senior Taylor Nguyen and freshman Delaney Perry bring the intensity. The Texans also have some nice options up top, including senior Addison Classetti, junior Karoline Velasquez and freshman Lillie Fleming.
