Dynamic Texas Outside Backs in action at ECNL Girls St. Louis

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 2024 year will officially come to an end for the Texas teams that compete in the ECNL Girls Club soccer league this weekend, with the year-ending National Event in St. Louis, Missouri, set to take place from December 12-15.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It's going to be a huge showcase, with four age groups and as many as 246 teams from the entire country competing across the four venues. There will be 14 teams from Texas representing the Lone Star State in Missouri, with Albion Hurricanes FC, Challenge SC, Dallas Texans, Sting Austina and Sting Royal making the trip to get some competition before 2025 arrives.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>There will be plenty of talented players from the Lone Star State to watch this weekend and am listing a few in the days before the event. An offensive-minded outside back, she can play on either side, but is mostly used on the right. Pistorius is very strong at dribbling the ball forward, shielding it efficiently with her body and using her pace and dribbling to beat defenders. She also hits the ball with extreme precision, which makes of her an excellent crosser and a dangerous weapon when shooting from distance. Their starting left back, she's one of their most consistent and productive players, offering important contributions on both sides of the ball. Johnson plays defense with great energy and typically keeps things under control on her side of the field, winning duels at a great rate and being successful with her tackles. She likes to push forward too and gets to contribute offensively with her smart movement off the ball and her ability to engage in combination plays. A very physical player, she's primarily a left back, but can also play in central defense or on the right. Shane is a defensive force for the Texans, using her physical tools to win 50-50 balls and put pressure on opposing attackers. She also reads the game well and reacts quickly to it, efficiently adjusting her positioning to better help her teammates. Offensively, Shane stands out for her ability to make strong, direct runs and take the ball to the attacking half in no time.
