#ECNLTX: Lone Star State Creative Midfielders

<p>The state of Texas is the next destination of the ECNL Girls Soccer League as this coming weekend, from Saturday to Monday, the city of Dallas will host the league's second national event of 2025.</p>   <p>Having the Toyota Soccer Center and the MoneyGram Soccer Park as venues, the ECNL Dallas event will have as many as 210 club teams competing in five different age groups and Prep Soccer Texas will be in attendance all three days, following the action closely and bringing daily reports.</p>   <p>Unsurprisingly, Texas will have massive representation in the event, with as many as 54 teams getting in action - [program_tooltip program_id='278052' first='Albion' last='Hurricanes FC'], Challenge SC, [program_tooltip program_id='278665' first='Classics' last='Elite'] SA, [program_tooltip program_id='278678' first='Dallas' last='Texans'], DKSC, FC Dallas, [program_tooltip program_id='278668' first='Lonestar' last=''] SC, Solar SC, Sting Austin, Sting Black and Sting Royal will all have teams competing.</p>   <p>The elite of Texas Girls Club soccer will be in Dallas and we would like to highlight some names to keep an eye on before the event begins. Today our focus will be on the midfielders:</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Baxter will play for the [program_tooltip program_id='278052' first='Albion' last='Hurricanes FC'] 10 team, which will meet La Roca FC, Match Fit Academy and Kansas City Athletics in this weekend's event. She's a dynamic midfield player, who competes with tremendous energy and is well-versed on the offensive side of the game. Baxter likes to play centrally and is very dangerous with her ability to create space with turns and quick moves and then quickly sprint forward, leaving opponents behind and pushing the ball forward. She's very difficult to stop in progression and also appears well inside the penalty box to finish chances. She's a talented offensive player, who can appear as an attacking midfielder or further up as a forward. Brundage's quickness on the ball and her smart first touch help her operate in crowded areas of the field as she is very good at beating opponents in tight spaces to create room for her actions. The midfielder is extremely composed on the ball and has excellent vision to find passes in the final third. She's an extremely dynamic midfielder, who gives her team an intense rhythm in the center of the field. Wheeler appears very well on both sides of the ball, contributing to the team's defensive efforts by covering a lot of ground, and doing interesting things on the ball. She's capable of making strong, direct runs through the middle, can find nice passes in the final third and finishes extremely well, putting power and direction in her shots.</p>    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-52DGY7E_8 </div></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">Marquez will be with the [program_tooltip program_id='278678' first='Dallas' last='Texans'] 08 team that will be challenged by Oregon Surf, SLSG Green and Rockford Raptors in the showcase. She can play in midfield or in the attack for them and is consistently involved in the team's offensive plays. Wherever she's placed, Marquez demands a lot from opposing defenders with her quickness on the ball and her ability to drive it forward. She also hits the ball extremely well, which makes of her an excellent finisher and a weapon in set pieces, as she's capable of providing great deliveries.</p>      <p class="text-gray-700">Belcher is a key piece in the FC Dallas 07/06 team that's scheduled to play against Seattle United, Utah Avalanche and La Roca FC in the event. She's a stud in midfield for them with her ability to control the game and make a difference in possession. Belcher is one of those players who don't need a lot of time on the ball to make an impact as it typically gets in and out of her feet in no more than a couple of seconds and finds teammates in better spots up in the field.
