2028/30 Players You Should Get To Know

Players from Nevada, Illinois, South Carolina, and California.   USE THE PROMO CODE almasin30 for a discount on your first subscription   This group of players are from the 2028 and 2030 graduating classes, who are essentially up-and-coming players you need to know more of.     Most of the players are actively participating in year-round soccer, and some are starting to make a name for themselves.  I am always looking to highlight the success of these players and look forward to evaluating them and their team at upcoming events.  This group will definitely make waves at the high school and club levels, and it will be great to see them move onto the next level. Caitlyn Quigley - Forward/Defender - 2028 - High School: Bishop Monogue    She is a versatile player who mainly plays as a striker but can contribute as a midfielder or defender.  During the 2025-2026 high school season, she stood out as a top offensive threat in Northern Nevada.  Caitlyn is currently ranked in the top 6 in the 4A Northern Sierra region for goals scored.  I've previously evaluated her at the ECNL level, in which she scored 2 goals on the day. Her ability to find open pockets and slip past defenders gets her into a high-percentage scoring range. She is comfortable taking on defenders around the 18 and has a striker's mentality in beating the defenders and by cutting to her strong side to fire off rocket shots past the goalkeeper.  Caitlyn excels as a consistent finisher, and she has high-level ball movement skills with and when playing off the ball.  She plays club soccer for [program_tooltip program_id='278036' first='San' last='Juan SC'] ECNL G2010. [player_tooltip player_id='316896' first='Claire' last='Cohoon'] - Forward - 2030 - Club: [program_tooltip program_id='283326' first='Eclipse' last='Select'] ECNL G2012    Claire has had an impressive fall 2024–fall 2025 season, scoring 37 goals and contributing to her teammates' success while playing as both a winger and forward, including hat-trick performances. Her ECNL team qualified for the 2025 ECNL National Championships qualifier, and she has consistently contributed at a high level in competitive national environments.  In addition to club play, Claire is participating in the Olympic Development Program (ODP) for the first time this past and current year with the Wisconsin ODP program. She has been selected for the Wisconsin State Team, advanced to the Midwest Regional ID Camp, and recently participated in the ODP National Team Tryouts in Florida this past January.  She is a top-level player who we will be hearing a lot of in the next few years. [player_tooltip player_id='284726' first='Ryan' last='Solorio'] - Goalkeeper - 2028 - Club: [program_tooltip program_id='283395' first='Legends' last='FC'] G10    She is a standout goalkeeper for [program_tooltip program_id='283395' first='Legends' last='FC'] ECNL.  She recently attended the Eric Bell Soccer Academy at TCU and the Kronis Academy ID camp prior.  Ry recently played up with the 09 team for the first half of the ECNL season while coming back from back-to-back knee surgeries.  She is a player to watch as she is getting back to form and will be attending more camps and showcases in the next few months.  Previously, our scouts noted that “she has worked hard to overcome the injuries.  The athletic keeper with good size for 2028 and the ability to make all the saves and to play the ball at her feet.” Ry will be playing at the upcoming ECNL Phoenix in March, and I'll make sure to cover her and her [program_tooltip program_id='283395' first='Legends' last='FC'] match while I'm there. Maggie Ingram - Forward/Midfielder - 2028 - High School: Gray Collegiate Academy, SC    She is a forward/midfielder who plays year-round soccer.  As a freshman, she scored 14 goals and provided 13 assists in 22 matches for Gray Collegiate Academy.  While playing club soccer for Charlotte Independence SC, she was selected as the Player of the Match on May 1, 2025, and recently scored a winning goal in October 2025 against Fox Soccer Academy.  Maggie holds a 4.2 GPA and has competed in the ODP Region Camp.  She has good finishing skills, and she will be a player we will be hearing about more, sooner rather than later. Brook Derby - Goalkeeper - 2028 - High School: Brentwood School, CA    She is considered to be one of the top goalkeeper prospects for the class of 2028.  While previously playing for LA [program_tooltip program_id='283623' first='Breakers' last='FC'], the now [program_tooltip program_id='283476' first='Slammers' last='FC'] goalkeeper is making her presence known on the national scene.  I was able to evaluate her at the national tournament last summer, and she did not disappoint.  Brooke showed her athleticism by going up strong to knock away or pull down crosses.  She is not afraid to make 1v1 challenges with players trying to make runs into the box.  Her ability to cut off the angled runs was crucial to her team's successful run in the playoffs.  I really liked how she anticipates well and positions herself to take away shooting angles and lanes. She is one of the best goalkeepers in the 2028 class, and it would be great to see her given a shot at the U.S. youth national team level, as she previously participated in the Cal South ODP tryouts. Presley Walker - Defender/Forward - 2030 - Club: [program_tooltip program_id='283320' first='Eagles' last='Soccer Club'], CA    She is known for her elite speed and the ability to take the top off of the defense by making long vertical or diagonal runs.  Presley can also shut down wingers who try to test her speed in the channels.  Her great instincts, tenacious defense, and hard-working skills are what other scouts see as well.  Playing up has its advantages, as when she is playing at her regular age group, she clearly stands out and makes an impact on the game.  Recently, she was selected for the 3rd year in a row for the Cal South ODP team, which competed in the ODP West Regional tournament in Arizona.  Her team won it the past 2 years.  Presley is a player on the Watch List Radar, and I look forward to evaluating her at the next ECNL Phoenix in March. Here are their questions and responses.   Claire's Questions and Answers:   1. What are three of your strengths as a soccer player?   “One of my biggest strengths is my ability to finish from a variety of positions in and around the box with either foot.  My attacking versatility as both a central striker and winger provide me the opportunity to play very well in open spaces and under pressure. I play with technical proficiency under pressure, make quick first touches, use tight-space dribbling, perform accurate short- and long-range passing, love breakaways and am a physical player. My most important strength is my work ethic; I love training and am always looking for ways to improve how I play and perfect my game.”   2. When did you and your parents decide that you would want to be a collegiate soccer player?    “Playing soccer at a high level and having the opportunity to face stronger competition has helped me realize how much I love this game, and the amount of work and commitment it takes to play at this level. My parents have always helped me set short and long term goals for myself, and playing soccer in college and beyond is definitely something I look forward to.”   3. What are some of the things you are currently doing to prepare for your college soccer journey?    “I am playing soccer with a club that provides a great training environment, and allows me to compete against strong teams, both in the league and in showcases. This allows me to continually challenge myself and grow as a player. I spend a significant amount of time training on my own and with a trainer, focusing on finishing, technical skills, speed of play, strength and more. I also realize school is just as important as soccer, so I am equally focused on keeping my grades strong and being an excellent student.”   4. What has been your most memorable soccer moment or moments as a soccer player thus far?    “My most memorable moments have been scoring impactful goals and contributing to team wins. Contributing to our team making the ECNL playoffs last year was a really great experience. I am also on the Midwest ODP Team, and enjoy playing with other top talent competing to be on the National Team.”   5. Is there a club player, collegiate, or professional soccer player who inspires you?    “I am inspired by any player that is a great attacker and works hard for their team. I admire players who can score in a variety of ways, and that handle pressure well in hard games.”   6. Where do you see yourself or hope to be in your soccer journey in 5–6 years?   “In 5–6 years, I see myself playing soccer in college and beyond, continuing to push myself and grow as a player. I hope to be competing at the highest level, making huge contributions to an excellent team and receiving a great education. Most importantly, I look forward to continuing to play a game that I love.”   Presley's Questions and Answers:   1. What are three of your strengths as a soccer player?    “I feel my strengths are 1v1 defending, physicality and quickness on the ball. I also like to try to create pressure offensively.   2. When did you and your parents decide that you would want to be a collegiate soccer player? “I've had the goal of really playing college soccer over the past few years. As club competition became more intense for me and I saw how older girls were being recognized by their play and college commitments, it was inspiring. I thought to myself, I have a chance to do something similar one day if I keep working hard, especially being in Southern California where you can keep playing some of the best talent regularly.”   3. What are some of the things you are currently doing to prepare for your college soccer journey? (Club, training, education, etc.)    “In addition to soccer training with my ECNL club and using the walls in my backyard, I have a regular session with a group of girls outside my club that is competitive and fun. I also work on strength & conditioning using a gym for things like pilates, some light weightlifting and run hills. Lately, I've spent more time getting individual game-film feedback and watching even more college and pro matches. School academics for colleges are super important to me, too... it is sometimes hard to balance it all.”      4. What has been your most memorable soccer moment or moments as a soccer player thus far? “Playing in the ECNL National Playoffs in Washington two years ago and making it to the Round of 16 was eye opening for me. I had never been in such a competitive "big game" environment before... there were so many top teams we don't get a chance to see, and so many colleges and scouts there for the olders. And then this past season, my team made it even further to the ECNL National Finals in Virginia. I will never forget these experiences with my amazing coaches and teammates as it is very difficult to make it that far.”    5. Is there a club player, collegiate, or professional soccer player who inspires you?    “I've always loved Rose LaVelle because she is not the most physically intimidating player, but she is often a game changer with quick bursts of play and can play well offensively and defensively.”   6. Where do you see yourself or hope to be in your soccer journey in 5-6 years?    “I'm still a young 2011 in 8th grade, but I hope to continue to improve, play college soccer impactfully (and graduate) and see where that takes me! I know I have to keep my head down and really start reaching my peaks in the next few years.”
