Travers is another player that is no stranger to playing up. She looks a little undersized at first glance but then you watch her play and she turns into a giant. Her anticipation might be the best in her age group in the entire country, always seems to be in the right place at the right time. Extremely reliable in possession and should be a big time contributor for this Storm side.

One of the top players in her age group, the MVLA defender is set for a strong showing in Spain. Bringing composure, athleticism, and a steady presence to the back line, reading play early and handling pressure with control. Organizes effectively and wins key moments and anchors the defensive unit. This positions her to help lead the group through a successful weekend.

This 2010 MVLA team is almost unfair. In the heart of their defense they have Thea Perry,

and Travers whom are 3 of the top 10 defensive players in the whole country at their age if you ask me. They blanked the defending national champions Michigan Hawks today and Travers also showed off her long throw that can be like a corner at times. I think this may have been a 2026 ECNL National Championship preview that MVLA now has the upper hand in.

Travers is collecting accolades already in her young career. Captaining the USA Youth National Team, ranked in the top 10 nationally, and from my understanding playing up on the defending National Champions MVLA 09’s. She’s a special player unbelievable timing with her tackles, incredibly calm/calculated on the ball. She is a fun watch. Makes this very difficult game look so easy at times.

A top-tier defender and one of the highest-ranked national players from the NorCal 2028 list. Her passion for the sport is undeniable, purely dedication, inspiring, and most admirable. Many players take breaks to refocus and balance aspects of life to reduce burnout. Cassie is built differently, and her constant resilience in overcoming obstacles and facing new challenges is what will ultimately get her to where she wants to be. Her recent invites to the Bay FC and Gotham Talent ID centers are just some of the many experiences she has to boot, as well as getting a call for the USYNT U-15 camp in Carson, CA. Most recently she was part of the ECNL’s Conference Cup (Team Northwest), which won the tournament. Can’t wait to see what opportunities will be presented, as I believe it is just a matter of time before she makes it to the top.

Seems to have grown a bit since the last time I saw her. But another masterclass performance from Travers in the
Bay Area Surf
back line as she captained the team along with her teammate

. She’s playing a year up by the way and when she says something about defensive positioning you better listen to her because she just knows what to do out there on a soccer field. She’s like the Ray Lewis of Youth Women’s Soccer defensive maestro.

Recently just captained the USA U15’s in Europe Travers has the talent to go incredibly far in this game. Her defensive positioning and instincts are the best I’ve seen at her age. She is always in the right spot. Her distribution is super efficient as she not only breaks lines but puts her teammates in favorable positions to make the next play. Soccer IQ is off the charts.

Travers is such a consistent performer. I’ve watched her play 10-15 times now and you always know what you’re going to get. Smart and tactical in possession, excellent timing on tackles and anticipating the opposition’s attack in a way that Naomi Girma herself would be impressed with.

Captaining a team where you are the youngest player doesn’t happen for no reason. Travers put in another fantastic performance for Bay Area Surf against So Cal Blues today. She just never seems like she is under any threat as her positioning and timing are top notch. Her decision making is incredibly mature for a 2010 born player.

Playing a year up against one of the best teams in the country Travers again proving why she is so highly ranked. She was playing Center Back against a very well balanced MVLA attack and she was up to every challenge that was thrown her way. I haven’t seen another defender in the country her age who has the ability to break one or even two lines on the dribble the way she can. She is steps ahead of 99% of her peers when it comes to reading the game.
