Matt Smith | Prep Soccer Scout
Braun is a long, rangy keeper with a ton of athleticism to go with her clear understanding of how to play the position. She reads the game well, she knows when to come out, reacts quickly, and makes good decisions. With her quick decision making, her toughness and fortitude, she is really hard to beat. She can make all the saves, stopping shots from point blank, using her legs, or getting horizontal and protecting the upper V’s. She is as talented as they come.

The stellar recent run of play has her rising up the rankings at the state and national level. Braun is a name that will attract the interest of scouts from every top program thanks to the Youth National Team background. She should be a player who starts at a top program early in her career. She’s shown the game-winning ability to shift the outcome against even the best competition.

Standing tall with exceptional wingspan, Braun commands her penalty area with the type of decisiveness that separates good keepers from great ones. Her decision-making under pressure was flawless, showing no hesitation whether the situation called for punching the ball clear or securing possession with confident hands. What’s most impressive is her track record of consistency – two clean sheets through two playoff games speaks to her reliability between the posts. For a 2028 graduate, her composure and presence suggest she’s already operating at a level beyond her years.
