Ramirez was with the GFI team that advanced all the way to the semifinals of the tournament’s U15 division. He had a solid performance in the team’s 6-0 win over SPSA 2011 Red Elite Boys in their group phase debut. Playing as a left wingback, he had plenty of freedom to push forward, and did a good job of supporting the team’s offense. Ramirez showed good vision to feed the forward with direct passes out wide and through balls behind the backline. He also did well when coming inside to operate more centrally and creating space for the winger to make plays on the flank. With his team vastly dominating possession, Ramirez was mostly asked to play defense in transition and responded well, appearing with well-timed tackles.
