Magnuson and her Challenge SC 07 team are scheduled to play Bethesda SC, WNY Flash and VDA this week in North Carolina. An extremely creative player, expect her to be very active offensively for them on the left. Magnuson is very smooth on the ball, can dribble in tight spaces at ease and is very intelligent with her passing. She’s very dangerous when she brings the ball inside from the left and also a lethal finisher, who makes smart runs in behind the backline and can score with either foot.

Magnuson was one of the most creative players in her team A&M Consolidated, which won it all in the Spartan Bracket. She was great at driving the ball forward and found great success with her dribbling, beating opponents and creating space to continue pushing the ball to the goal. Against Clear Lake, Magnuson was particularly dangerous when she got the ball on the left and brought it inside to her preferred right foot. Her vision also allowed her to make the right call around the penalty box and she created chances with her excellent passing.

A very dynamic offensive player, Magnuson can play as an attacking midfielder, dictating the team’s chance-creation, or closer to goal. She operates extremely well around the penalty box because of her vision and her ability to create space and is also a threat when playing in a wider position, where she can go at defenders and generate chances with her dribbling ability. Magnuson is also very disciplined tactically, taking care of her defensive duties and helping the team crowd the midfield area.

Magnuson is an offensive player that adds a lot more than just her attacking skills. Although she can play basically anywhere between the midfield and the attack, she’s normally used in a winger/wide midfielder role with Challenge SC 07. The position allows her to be an offensive threat, making runs on and off the ball up and down the flanks and going at defenders with her dribbling ability. Magnuson plays with a lot of energy and is very disciplined tactically, which allows her to provide great defensive help from this position, tracking back and occupying space in the midfield line.

Love the effort from Magnuson. She is listed as a forward but saw her play defensive midfielder. She has a lot of traits that stand out for that position. She’s a strong defender when man-marking. She is fully committed to her task – when she is asked to man-mark she will follow and hound the opponent. She’s a good team player.
