The scouting report below is on on the top prospects from the 2026 class.
Antonucci was recently named to the PrepSoccer Best XI for the ECNL National Event in Phoenix. She was also on the Best XI for the event in the Fall. The Legends midfielder just delivers every single game. That type of consistency is undeniably appealing when scouting a player. She’s competitive, smart, and skillful plus she makes winning plays.
The Youth National Team forward earned a spot high in the PrepSoccer rankings thanks to the progress she has made in the past year. She’s taken over a spot with the NC Courage 06 ECNL team. She playing on the wing and playing up an age group has forced her to see the game at a more advanced level. She is finding more unique ways to influence the game in the final third – she’s tucking inside or looking for better runs off the ball. She is still the gifted attacking player who can take players on one-v-one on the wing, but it’s clear she has made a big tactical jump as well.
Morse is one of the most creative players from this class. She fits the PrepSoccer ranking standard of a high ceiling player making an impact at a high level right now. Morse recently led her club team to a national championship at the Girls Academy level. She is the type of player who can breakdown a defense with her passing just as well as her finishing.
Check out our recent scouting report on Addison DeJoseph Addison DeJoseph M Pope | 2026 State #7 Nation GA here. Every part of that write-up still rings true and should have scouts excited to see her play more in the club postseason this summer.
One of the biggest revelations for Addison DeJoseph Addison DeJoseph M Pope | 2026 State #7 Nation GA and Alexa DeJoseph Alexa DeJoseph F Pope | 2026 State #6 Nation GA in the recent month is surviving the high school season in Georgia. The freshmen stars were hounded, fouled, and tackled in an attempt to stop them from finding success at that level. They still delivered for their school, but it’s good to see them both returning to the club game soon.
Johnson is one of the players who makes the game look easy. Her performance in the Girls Academy Champions Cup recently had just about everyone raving – well except the opposition. She is the rare prospect that can take over the game in the biggest moments. There is part of her game that reminds me of Jaden Thomas Jaden Thomas F Hockaday (TX) | 2024 State #33 Nation TX – the creativity, the mastery of the ball – and there is another part that screams of Kat Rader – the finishes from impossible angles, the way she strikes the ball like she is mad at it. Johnson’s ceiling is as high as they come in this age group.
Arguably the great advantage at the youth level is having an exceptional goalkeeper, and O’Steen is definitely one of those. Building the team through the spine has been the recipe for success for a long time and there is a reason why it seems like O’Steen’s teams always seem to be in the final or national championship game. Beyond her success on the pitch, the super athletic shot-stopper for Solar is a two-sport star. She is one of the top high school basketball players in Texas – averaging over 17 points per game (according to MaxPreps) on varsity as a freshman. Her ranking is due to her contributions on the field though. It’s tough to talk about O’Steen’s game and not mention her past. Up to a couple of years ago, she used to be one of the top goal scorers in the Texas division of the ECNL as she split time between goal and forward. Recently, she has anchored down the defense as the top goalkeeper in the ECNL. Her background on the field has provided her with a ton of confidence in playing the ball with her feet and playing off her line – think of a sweeper-keeper. Past that, she is the most athletic shot-stopper (by far) in this age group. With lightning quick reflexes and a wing span that can cover the whole goal, she is a rare prospect at this position and one of the highest rated goalkeepers in recent history.
Florida is a region that has some real stars in this class, but does not have a state ranking yet. That will change soon – so except an in-depth ranking and scouting report on Ascanio as well as some of the other prospects in the next month or two.
The midwest is likely underrepresented on this national list, so expect to see quite a few names from that region added to the rankings in the near future. Pfeiffer was a serious debate among scouts regarding whether she should be the top player in this class. A skillful, dynamic, attacking talent who plays up a couple of age groups regularly, Pfeiffer’s quality is easy to spot. She is part of the US Youth National Team program and seems to have endless potential.
Highlights
The Slammers FC Koge player probably would’ve been considered for the top player in the 2025 class – just to put some perspective on how highly regarded she is. There are very few players who have had the impact at the youth level to rival Jordan – or players with the ceiling as high as her. She is in a class of her own among wingers who can take over the game – and in a class of her own as a goal-scorer. She’s been on a tear with the youth national team as well so her international stock is on the rise too.
