ECNL Finals: Texas Teams – Solar SC 07

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>After long and competitive nine months of action, the ECNL season is coming to an end and only the best eight teams in each age group will get to appear in the National Finals, which will take place in Richmond, Virginia, from July 10-14.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Some club teams from Texas earned a spot among those and will be competing for the national title in just a few days. As we prepare for the highest point of the club season, we'll feature some of these sides ahead of the start of the tournament.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Solar SC 07</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The team from Dallas was unstoppable during conference play, cruising in the Texas Conference with a perfect campaign of 15 wins, with 81 goals scored and just three conceded. A USYNT regular, she's the complete package when it comes to being an elite goalkeeper, combining size, athleticism, technique and composure in goal. O'Steen benefits from her positioning to make difficult saves look easy, but is explosive and agile enough to get to the ball when shots are deflected or she's caught by surprise by something. She's very active when the team has possession, moving intelligently to get the ball and making even smarter choices when she has it. McCammon's passing range and vision allow her to play a big role in the team's buildup but also make of her a threat in the attacking half. She's excellent at understanding what the game requires from her and adjusting to it, be it dropping deeper to get on the ball or finding pockets of space between the lines. Because of her quality on the ball and quickness of thought, Fuller can be decisive by playing more patiently against low blocks or more aggressively when there's room for her to explore.
