USE THE PROMO CODE almasin30 for a discount on your first subscription

It's going to be an awesome State PDP camp at Berkeley, California. Some of the top California and national U15 girls will be attending a residential camp from June 6-8, 2025. Many of them are Prep Soccer players who were previously covered throughout the season by our Prep Soccer Scouts. There are also players representing some of the top NorCal teams who will be competing in the National Playoffs in San Diego.

A few are national call-ups, and some will definitely get looks from the U.S. National Team scouts over the weekend. It's great to see these familiar names, but more so for the up-and-coming players with their first time competing at this level. Wishing all the players a great camp and a great showing.

Mustang SC players are:

[player_tooltip player_id='199883' first='Mercy' last='Karson'] - (2028) - D - #10 in Nation, #12 in CA and #5 in Position

[player_tooltip player_id='186203' first='Katelyn' last='Wong'] - (2028) - D/M - Bishop O'Dowd - WL in Nation, #85 in CA and #33 in Position

Mercy won the invite to Racing Louisville during the COPA Talent ID Pro Pathway. In a match the day before the COPA ID Pro Pathway, I was able to evaluate Mercy. Karson was somewhat of a field general. She is the #10 ranked player in the nation, #12 in CA, and #5 in position. She commanded the back line and provided a vocal leadership role, and she definitely led by example. Her ability to direct players to the points of attack was a sight to see. Karson dominated the backline by making long clears, cutting off running lanes, and making counter runs from the back. Her passing skills are top-notch, but it was her vision and ability to anticipate soft spots on the pitch and make timed runs that caught my eye. She had an overall solid game, and it's safe to say that her #10 ranking in the nation is spot on.

https://twitter.com/BayAreaSocScout/status/1905135733116960772

Katelyn Helped Bishop O'Dowd win the North Coast Section Winter Division I Championship. Part of an impressive “goal for to goals against” record of 106-10. Katelyn is a member of the [program_tooltip program_id='287623' first='Cal' last='North ODP'] 2024-2025. Player Pool: 2010 Girls.

MVLA player:

[player_tooltip player_id='199882' first='Vivian' last='Baker'] (2028) - GK - Archbishop Mitty - #26 in the Nation, #29 in CA and #3 in Position

I was able to attend the CCS Championship, and I saw her put on a goalkeeper's clinic during the first half of the match. Her shot-stopping skills were on full display. Baker is also a member of the USYNT Player Pool and U15 ODP Interregional Team. She is also another reason why I believe the Monarchs will be back as a contender for all three titles. Vivian also helped her team win the Conference Championship during the season finale.

https://twitter.com/BayAreaSocScout/status/1924669034886529481

[program_tooltip program_id='283257' first='Bay' last='Area Surf'] players are:

[player_tooltip player_id='202683' first='Jayla' last='Swindle'] (2028) - M - Vacaville Christian - WL in Nation, #24 in CA and #9 in Position

[player_tooltip player_id='206664' first='Lynn' last='Byun'] (2028) - D/M - Saint Francis - #93 in CA and #37 in Position

[player_tooltip player_id='111108' first='Allie' last='Huff'] (2028) - M - #37 in Nation, #15 in CA and #5 in Position

[player_tooltip player_id='262616' first='Aris' last='Yu'] (2028) - D/M - Sacred Heart Preparatory - WL in CA and WL in Position

Swindle competed in the U.S. 2010 ODP National Team in Costa Rica. They picked up a 5-1 win against the U17 Carmelita FF side. In game two, they also won 4-0 against Saprissa. I also covered Jayla at the COPA X Racing Louisville Talent ID Event just a couple of weeks ago. She was one of the top performers in the midfield position. Also, just the day before this event, she stood out in the G10 match as her [program_tooltip program_id='283257' first='Bay' last='Area Surf'] team competed against a tough Mustang SC club. She made crisp passes, had a calm presence in the middle, and got players into scoring range. Swindle was active on both sides of the pitch, but her strength was in slicing through the middle and delivering smooth passes to any spot on the field. Swindle also had an awesome first-year in high school as she was the Sierra Delta League Offensive MVP. She scored 46 goals and had 14 assists for Vacaville Christian.

https://twitter.com/JaylaSwinz2028/status/1906594143817588849

Lynn had a exciting high school season. Byun also had a solid game in the G08 as Mustang took on [program_tooltip program_id='283257' first='Bay' last='Area Surf'] . She is the #93-ranked player in CA and #37 in position in prep soccer. She made her presence felt in the middle, faced strong challenges, and led the surf attack. Lynn had a great high school season as her team won a treble (WCAL League Champs, CCS D1 Champs, and NorCal D1 Champions). I was fortunate to attend the CCS finals match in which she scored the goal to give Saint Francis their second crown. Byun will definitely rise in the rankings, as she played during the first week of Spring ECNL and matched the level of play as players one to two years older.

https://twitter.com/BayAreaSocScout/status/1924684254723916243

Allie was everywhere, and she played from touchline to touchline. She is also the #37-ranked player in the nation, #15 in CA, and #5 in position, creating space in the mid, distributing well, and playing strong on both halves.

https://twitter.com/BayAreaSocScout/status/1904053484028104765

Aris showed some superb moves by slicing through the defense before firing a rocket to the far netting. She went by at least four defenders, with the last 2 near the 18, before ripping a left-footed shot. This is my 4th match evaluating Aris, and she seems to be getting better each time she's on the pitch. It was great to see her play in the midfield, as she is usually at the LB position.

https://twitter.com/BayAreaSocScout/status/1912360166194049354

[program_tooltip program_id='283641' first='De' last='Anza Force'] players are:

[player_tooltip player_id='276651' first='Audrey' last='Wang'] - (2028) - M - Burlingame

Addy Subala - (2028) - M - Pioneer

Audrey's PK shot went low right post, just outside of the reach of the goalkeeper. It was a solid shot with good pace and accuracy to the side netting. Wang also played a critical part in moving the ball into scoring range, and she and a tandem midfielder made it difficult for Mustang SC to take their offense through the midfield.

https://twitter.com/BayAreaSocScout/status/1928295543257645511

I've previously covered Addy in a high school match against the reigning CCS and NorCal Champions, Saint Francis Lancers. Subala was a starter in that match and played as a defender, while her team almost pulled the upset in that CCS contest. Subala played in both the right back and midfield position in this match and she showed her skills by playing on both ends. She got a few win-backs and made quick and accurate combo passes.
