After some months, the Prep Soccer 2029 Texas Boys State Ranking was updated earlier this week, with new players being added to the prestigious list that features only the best of the best in the Lone Star State and the existing ones having their positions adjusted. These defenders are worth your attention:    Walker appears as the sixth-best defender in the Rankings and is 18th overall after the last update. He's part of Marcus' varsity high school team and represents the [program_tooltip program_id='283311' first='Dallas' last='Texans'] in the ECNL league at the club level. Capable of playing in central defense and as a right back, Walker relies on his excellent positioning and superior athleticism to shut opponents down, keeping them under pressure and challenging them at the right times. Perez is mostly known for his physical presence inside the box and firmness when getting into duels, but has been gradually developing other areas of his game. He's very aggressive with how he keeps opponents under pressure outside the penalty box and has impeccable timing with his sliding tackles. Morrison has a versatile profile, which allows him to play anywhere across the backline and even in the attack. He's most commonly used in central defense and stands out for his positioning and his mobility, which allow him to thrive when defending in space and recovering when passes are sent behind the backline. A Puerto Rican Youth international, Ramos saw his stock rise in the period, when he played up on numerous occasions. Capable of playing in both outside back spots, Ramos is very solid defensively, doing a great job of tracking opponents out wide and stopping them with well-timed tackles. He's a tough defender who doesn't allow opponents an inch of space on the ball and is always ready to intercept passes and stop plays.
