She plays as more of a central midfielder, but has tremendous weight in the team’s offense, helping create chances from her deeper position. Cervantes also hits the ball extremely well, which makes of her not only an excellent passer, but also a real threat in set pieces. The midfielder is also very active and efficient defensively, playing with great energy and covering a lot of ground when her team doesn’t have the ball.

Cervantes and her Dallas Texans 09 team will play in the Champions League this week after they finished sixth in the Texas Conference with nine wins, five losses and one tie. A very technical player, she pulls the strings for them in midfield and dictates their pace with her intelligent and accurate passing. Despite her significant offensive contributions, she also works hard on the defensive side of the ball and gets to make several stops and to help the team regain possession. Cervantes is also very accurate in dead-ball situations and consistently scores off of free kicks.

A very technical player, she understands the need to work hard without the ball and played with great energy and intensity on defense. Cervantes always looks very calm and confident on the field and is a player who is always ready to make big plays, especially when it involves her ability to pass the ball in the final third.
