Vivian is part of a top-level MVLA 14-0-2 team, which recorded a 2-0-1 record at ECNL Phoenix.  They went up against some of the best teams in the nation.  She also was part of the National Selection Game on Team West.  She is by far one of the best 2028 goalkeepers I’ve seen up close, as I’ve previously evaluated her 7 times, during high school as well as ECNL competition.  Vivian and her team shut out the defending champs, the Michigan Hawks, and came away with a 2-0 victory.  She is always fearless in the box, calculates/anticipates well, and has the athletic abilities to make tough stops.

Her team was ranked #13 in CA last year, with a 7-1-2 (2nd place) finish in league play and 19-3-3 overall. They were twice runners-up to the CCS Division I and NorCal Division I champions (Saint Francis) by the scores of (1-0) and (1-0).Those two losses by the slimmest of margins will be motivation for Vivian and her team to get back on track and make a run at the three titles. Vivian is one of the best goalkeepers in the 2028 class. She is in the USYNT player pool, with showings at the U15 ODP Interregional and U16 PDP State teams. Would love to see her given an opportunity to get a USYNT call-up. Vivian was also the WCAL (West Catholic Athletic League) Goalkeeper of the Year award winner.

She’s one of the best goalkeeper’s in the 2028 class. I’ve covered her high school matches and a few ECNL matches this season and possibly only saw one goal get by her. Her ability to see the the attacking buildup gets her to quickly position herself to make the best stops against runners trying to find an angle in the 18. Time after time, I’ve seen her make diving stops as well as go up high to eliminate threats in the air.

She came up big to preserve the victory. Her shot-stopping skills and high soccer IQ were on full display. One of the highlights was a near-perfect set piece that seemed destined to go in, and at the last minute, Baker made a perfectly timed tip to push the ball to the crossbar for a deflection. I’ve covered her during both high school and club competition, and that was definitely my favorite tip save.
