Guilherme Torres | Prep Soccer Scout
Soria was part of the FC Dallas Academy team that came out on top in the tournament’s U17 Division. A central midfielder, he pulled the strings for his team in a 1-0 win over Canada’s North Toronto Nitros B2009 OPDL in their group phase debut. Soria was involved in most of Dallas’ attacking plays, constantly getting the ball from the center backs to move it forward, always playing progressive passes and making an impact in the final third with his vision. Soria also contributed defensively, showing good effort to fight for possession in the center of the field and intelligence to get to second balls.

Soria is a central midfielder in the FC Dallas U17 team. He’s been called up as a defender and has been used at left back with the U.S., a position in which he can also thrive with his impressive skill set. A lefty, Soria is very technical and intelligent on the ball, picking the right passing option almost every time and distributing it efficiently. He has a lot to add going forward as an outside back, as he’s quick and talented enough to make plays out wide, while also being able to come inside and operate more centrally as an extra playmaker. Despite not being very tall or physical, Soria shows great determination when playing defense and typically does well 1v1.

Soria is another member of the FC Dallas Academy and he’s been recently playing up with their U17 team. He’s a central midfielder, but was listed in the call-up as a defender, which makes me think they might want to test him at left back. He has tremendous quality on the ball and is very intelligent with his distribution, often controlling the pace of the game from the center of the field. Soria moves well off the ball, always being a passing option to his teammates, and can make a big offensive impact with accurate long passes and well-timed through balls.

Playing one group up, the central midfielder was in excellent form and controlled the pace of the game for Dallas. Soria moved very well to get on the ball every time his team had possession, at times receiving it from the team’s goalkeeper and distributing very efficiently, using his skilled left foot to find teammates upfield with accurate switches and long passes. He also did a good job of stepping into the final third on offense and scored the team’s goal after quickly getting forward following a defensive turnover by the Dynamo. Soria was very smart with how he played defense, as he used his ability to read the game to anticipate plays and step up to tackle opponents after they dribbled one of his teammates.

Soria is a central midfielder for the FC Dallas U16 team. He’s not an attacking midfielder, playing more of a box-to-box role for them, but is still one of their most creative players, having a big influence on their offensive system. He operates as a deep-lying playmaker, getting on the ball a lot and dictating the team’s pace with his passing and distribution. Even though not always near the penalty box, the left-footed Soria still makes game-changing plays, finding intelligent passes behind the backline and making excellent shifts.

A member of the club’s U15 team in the last MLS Next season, he’s been to multiple USYNT ID camps and is highly rated as one of the most talented midfielders in his generation. Soria manipulates the ball very well and can create chances through quick combination plays, direct through balls behind the backline or long passes. He also plays with good intensity, appearing well on both sides of the ball and covering ground on defense.

A central midfielder, Soria is one of the engines of the team, playing with good intensity and intelligence for FC Dallas . He plays a box-to-box role for them, and one of his main responsibilities is to take the ball to the attacking half. A lefty, he delivers extremely well in that regard, taking great care of the ball and displaying excellent chemistry with fellow midfielder Johan Padilla Canales Johan Padilla Canales M State TX as the two do a great job of working off of each other and connecting through the center of the field. Soria has great calm and composure on the ball, never rushing plays and always picking the right options. Soria had a standout performance when his team FC Dallas U15 MLS Next secured a 3-0 win over Mexico’s Global Sporting Club 2010. Playing as a box-to-box midfielder, he controlled the game as almost every play created by his team went through him. A very technical player, the left-footed playmaker was very patient on the ball and dictated his team’s rhythm with his intelligent distribution. Soria also made an impact in the final third, making accurate shifts that found teammates open out wide and feeding the attacking players with smart passes.
