Expert Analysis
Guilherme Torres | Prep Soccer Scout
Olowu was one of FC Dallas ‘ main attacking weapons in the match and scored their last-minute equalizer. He played more to the right side of their attack and was very good at making turns on defenders and using his pace to beat them in space, getting 1v1 with the Dynamo goalkeeper on a couple of occasions. Olowu also spent time playing as a right winger and did well out wide, too, showing good resources to take on defenders. He drew the free kick that resulted in the team’s second goal and showed a great deal of confidence to take it and score in Dallas’ last opportunity.

Olowu scored two goals and registered an assist in FC Dallas ‘ comeback win. He played more to the right side of their attack and did a good job of consistently finding space to make plays in that zone of the field, even if he couldn’t capitalize on any of them. That changed in the second half, when Olowu scored twice – first by closing into the box to finish a cross and then by timing his run very well and darting towards the goal. He also demonstrated excellent vision to assist Lamar in Dallas’ fourth goal and was very committed off the ball, tracking back to help on defense until the final whistle.
