Guilherme Torres | Prep Soccer Scout
Awad’s work rate and dynamism in the center of the field were pivotal for FC Dallas ‘ strong performance. The center midfielder was everywhere, and his ability to cover ground helped his team control a critical area of the field. Awad also did very well when he stepped up to press higher, picking the right moments to do it and forcing Atlanta’s players into playing long or turning the ball over – he almost won the ball inside the box after challenging their goalkeeper. The midfielder’s passing was always very intelligent and accurate and helped set up attacking plays for Dallas.

FC Dallas ‘ captain Awad can play a few different spots, but mostly appears in central midfield for them. He has a very clean and efficient game and makes a positive impact on the team by offering solid contributions on both sides of the ball. Awad is very disciplined and effective defensively, and does a good job of dispossessing opponents when sitting in front of the backline or when patrolling the wide areas of the field. He produces well in possession, too, distributing the ball efficiently with his intelligent passing and infiltrating the final third with strong runs.
