Gomez plays as a forward for FC Dallas and can be used anywhere up top for them. He’s very quick and direct and is at his best when he has space in front of him to make runs and attack defenders. Gomez is a lethal finisher who typically scores in high volumes, and that makes of him a threat at the center forward spot, but he also has the vision and the quality to create chances for his teammates when deployed on the wings. The forward is relentless with his press and also appears well in set pieces, converting penalty kicks with impressive efficiency and creating goalscoring opportunities out of free kicks.

Gomez scored FC Dallas ‘ only goal in the match and was their most consistently dangerous attacking player. He spent time in all three spots up top and was at his best when playing on the wings. With Dallas looking to hit in transition, Gomez did a good job of always being an option for long passes, using his pace to attack the space out wide and having some dangerous runs. He showed calm and quality to convert the penalty box and helped create another good chance in the final minutes with an intelligent pass behind the backline.

Forward/Midfielder. Member of the Mexico U15 Youth National Team. Also played for the US at the U14 Youth National Team level. He is very good. Immediately jumps off the screen from game film as a player with next level qualities. Plays with his head up, always in the control. Game looked too easy for him at the 2010 age group last season, should be playing against older competition. Right footed, but good finisher with either foot. Absolutely dominant against his own age group last season especially against non-MLS teams. Listed as a forward on the youth national team roster – and played center forward for FC Dallas. Should be a high priority target for scouts.
