Five players scouts should know from the Dallas TID

She's so calm and poised on the ball that it feels like a fruitless endeavor to try to force her into a mistake. Cook, a 2029, has been brilliant as the defensive midfielder for Solar 2010 ECNL. She does the job smartly and has proven to be a key player for that team. Cook's quality does not always show up on the scoresheet, but her game film shows a player who is always in the right spot and making the correct decision to help her team win. She is a tall outside back for this group. She uses that long stride to cover a ton of ground in the game. FC Dallas uses her as outlet and her pace and passing is a weapon on the wing. She is also sent forward on set pieces as a target for the delivery. Beirute had a strong performance this season against the talented Solar side. She had a number of interceptions and duels won. She's shown that she should be considered among the top defenders in this class. She is a defensive midfielder on the Sting Austin 2010 ECNL team. She is an active tackler who does exceptionally well in using her body to gain possession of the ball after poking it away from the opposition. Thompson does well in retaining possession as she quickly scans for teammates and makes the correct decision. She's a midfielder who won't get stuck on playing the direction she is facing when making the next pass. She has been a standout this season in ECNL play. The left center back has been terrific this season. Her play against Philadelphia Ukrainian Nationals at the ECNL St. Louis event showcased her high-level upside. She made a number of plays in that game that secured a shutout for her side. She also put herself in the position to make a play if needed too. The positioning and reading of the game is exceptional from the defender. Kunde has been a top prospect in Texas this season and continues to earn the attention of scouts. She also plays for the [program_tooltip program_id='278665' first='Classics' last='Elite'] 2010 ECNL team. She's been part of US Soccer Talent ID events in the past. And she is in the Prep Soccer Texas rankings. Steil is a terrific attacking talent. There is a directness to her approach that is refreshing. She rarely wastes a touch and she plays with the conviction that makes her a difficult player to defend. She can play on the left or right wing. She has the burst to beat the defender with her first touch. She's also improved on her finishing from distance and is routinely scoring from 30 yards out.
