ECNL Phoenix Day 1 Standouts

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>What a day for it here in Phoenix. Temperatures were in the 60's most of the day with clouds and a little drizzle. The one big factor in a handful of games was the wind. Strong winds made it difficult for teams who like to play balls in the air. The teams who were successful kept the ball low closer to the deck. Headed to Cal next season [player_tooltip player_id='112412' first='Jada' last='Faison'] is the real deal. She's so fast. She reminds me of a young woman who just graduated from Cal who is playing for Bay FC in the NWSL Karlie Lema. Very similar athlete to her twin sister I mention above. Although there is one major difference. Amaya is left footed. It's actually scary what these two can accomplish together at Cal when they step on campus together in 2026. She can turn out of so many binds. She's a three point queen. She uses quick tight touch to get away from players exceptionally well. Really good vision and decision making. She puts great weight on her through balls to put her teammates advantageous spots. Corner kick queen. The lefty striker looked effective on both wings against Ohio Elite. I was eating lunch and I saw her get on to the end of a through ball with exceptional pace. I ended up staying and watched her whole first half. Big time competitor and seems desperate to show herself. She plays for a lower seeded club but the talent is apparent to me.
