She’s a big, physical goalkeeper who gets to cover a large area of the goal with her big frame and makes the most of it to keep the ball off the net. Vontoure stands out with her positioning, too, and has very firm hands that very rarely give up rebounds. The goalkeeper has a very strong right leg and is often seen taking both long free kicks to send the ball into the box and closer ones as she attempts to score.

Vontoure stands out as the eighth-best goalkeeper in Texas according to our Rankings and appears in 90th place overall in the state. She captains Summer Creek at the high school level and plays for the Challenge SC U19 team in the ECNL League. A big, physical goalkeeper, she’s really tough to beat between the posts because of how much area she can cover between the posts, while also demonstrating excellent mobility, reflexes and firm hands to make saves. Vontoure has a very strong right leg, which allows her to send punts well beyond the midfield line and accurately send long free kicks into the attacking penalty box.

Vontoure plays for the Challenge SC G08 team that will have Sting Black G08 and Lonestar ‘ last=’SC’] RL G08 as their opponents in the event. A tall and physical shot-stopper, she does a great job of using her big frame to make saves between the posts. A good thing with Vontoure is that, despite being very physical, she’s extremely mobile and has excellent reflexes, which makes it even harder for opponents to score on her. The goalkeeper can send the ball well upfield with her punts and has great accuracy with her long balls, at times stepping up to take long free kicks into the opposing penalty box.

Vontoure and her Summer Creek team will contend in the Warrior Bracket, where they will start their campaign against Memorial. She started for them as a freshman and has also accumulated significant experience at the club level playing for Challenge SC in the ECNL league. There’s a lot to love about Vontoure’s game, as she’s a big, physical goalkeeper who doesn’t lack in mobility, has firm hands and is always very calm and collected between the posts. The sophomore has a strong right leg and, at times, is called to send long free kicks into the penalty box.

Vontoure has been in action with Summer Creek in the High School season. She has a lot of the qualities coaches would love to have in a goalkeeper and will certainly develop them over the next few years. Vontoure is a big and physical goalkeeper, who takes up a lot of space in goal and dominates the penalty box when she goes out of the goal to collect crosses, but her size doesn’t hurt her agility between the posts at all. Another thing to like in her game is how calm she is when on the field, which allows her to produce well under pressure. Vontoure also has a strong right leg and her goal kicks typically land well after the midfield lane.
