I got to watch the first of them, a 1-0 win over SLSG Navy on Satuday, in which she dominated the center of the field for her team. Playing as a defensive midfielder, Burtnett doesn’t let anything go past her, making strong tackles and appearing well to cover her teammates. She also operated very well on the ball, getting on the ball a lot to start the team’s buildup and doing great work to keep possession in the middle and to make quick switches to find teammates in wide positions.
