She was prolific during the Girls Academy Winter Showcase. She scored four goals in the three games in Southern California. Meyer is a player who creates chances for teammates too. She had a number of key passes in the games. She is strong and speedy. She's a handful in 1v1 situations with her directness. She plays on the left wing and looks confident on either foot. Her off-ball intelligence stands out from game film. She's excellent at anticipating the next play and getting to spots to help her team in creating chances with her positioning. She's excellent in the press and cuts out back passes more often than most wingers in this event. She is an elite finisher. One of the best in the Girls Academy around the goal- both in her positioning and her understanding of a one-touch finish. Gum is a hard-worker who is seemingly always determined to score another goal regardless of how many she's already put on the board that day. She proved her quality at the high school level as well with 30 goals as a freshman last season. She also plays basketball. She was prolific at the GA Winter Showcase with two goals and two assists from the three games. She's a versatile midfielder who can pop up all over the field. She finds ways to impact the game from a number of roles. She's got incredible endurance and covers a ton of ground during the game. She's shown that she is not wasteful with her actions either. She was smart about how she pulled defenders away from the play in order to beat them to the ball on crosses in a couple of instances during the fall season. She found a lot of success on set pieces as well.
