Recap: Prep Soccer Girls ID Camp: NorCal 2024

Players interested in signing up should do it quickly, as the spots are limited, and based on the previous success of the last one in NorCal in 2024, players, coaches/team managers, and parents would always ask me when we were planning on doing another one.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With the stage set, NorCal will continue to have it at Los Altos Hills, CA, at Foothill College again on July 26, 2026, and SoCal will have theirs at [program_tooltip program_id='283671' first='LA' last='Galaxy'] Sports Complex on August 2, 2026. It started as a warm 83 degrees at Foothill College, but as the temperature slowly climbed, it was obvious that their fitness level and mental fortitude would be tested during the 4-hour event.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The coaches started them with stretching/dynamic warm-up drills, then it moved to small stations to test specific skills. There were essentially 4 stations, and each featured an activity to evaluate players. The camp ended with a scrimmage showcasing their technical abilities.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Scouts and coaches were looking at their strengths, endurance, and recovery. Other factors that separated players were coachability, body language, and a positive attitude.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The camp featured many recognized high school and club players in the prep soccer system. Yet, a few of them clearly stood out and left an indelible impression and would further make a name for themselves in the upcoming recruiting seasons.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Here are the results or statistics for the 28 players who attended the event in 2024. With the class of 2026 and 2027 players, most have made commitments to Division 1 programs. A few elite players have also participated in international competition as USYNT players or other teams from North and Central America, and some are highly ranked at the state and national levels.
