About Richard

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Fullback. I'm a fast, aggressive defender who excels in winning one-on-one duels both in the air and on the ground. My versatility allows me to support the attack down the wing, and being left-footed adds extra balance to my game. Winger. As a quick winger, I love taking on full-backs and driving towards goal. My pace and creativity help me either score or assist keeping defenders under pressure

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

On the field, I'm always ready and eager to win, determined to give more than 100% in every game. I don't take losses easily and push myself to improve constantly. Off the field, I'm more laid-back, enjoying time with friends and family, and I love supporting others through service.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes, I'm involved in several clubs and organizations. I'm currently serving as Class Vice President and am part of the Diversity in Action Steering Committee, Admission Council, and Student Senate. I'm also an SOS (Students of Service) Student Leader, Knight Ambassador, and FAM (Freshman Advisory Mentor) Leader. Additionally, I was in the National Junior Honor Society.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through my roles as Class Vice President and many other roles at school, I've developed strong leadership and communication skills. Being involved has strengthened my ability to work in diverse teams and promote inclusivity. Soccer has also honed my teamwork and perseverance, both on the field and in my various leadership positions.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for a college that provides a great balance between high-level academics and high-level soccer. I want an environment where I can push myself to grow in both areas while feeling supported and able to thrive as my authentic self. It's important to me to find a place that challenges me but also allows me to develop personally and athletically.
