Homs played for the Tompkins team that triumphed in the Falcon bracket while conceding just one goal in three matches. I got to watch her team in a 6-0 first-round win over O’Connor in which they dominated from the start and weren’t under much pressure. The sophomore was asked to defend in transition on some occasions when their opponents tried to hit on the counter, and was always ready to make stops, showing solid pace to track them down and good instincts to make plays for the ball. Homs was much more active in possession and did a good job helping Tompkins move the ball around and make plays in the attacking half.
