Gibson was a constant threat to Challenge and created several chances for Albion. Operating primarily on the left side of the team’s attack, she had great success in her dribbling attempts and was very effective when combining with her teammates in quick plays too. Gibson was very intelligent with her movement off the ball, getting to the far post to score the team’s first goal with an easy, one-time shot. He also had a decisive participation in the team’s second goal, firing a difficult shot from an unlikely location and hitting the post for Piazza to score in the rebound.

Gibson was very active offensively for Albion Hurricanes and helped facilitate several of the team’s attacking plays. Playing in a more central role in the team’s midfield, she got on the ball a lot and did a good job of creating chances. Gibson is very quick in her mind and very rarely keeps the ball for more than three touches, needing no time to decide what to do with it. She’s an intelligent passer, a skilled dribbler and can also finish chances from around and inside the penalty box.
