The forward registered a goal and was the Dynamo’s most consistently dangerous attacking player in the match. Olsen played the striker role, delivering a lot of mobility and constantly getting on the ball in the final third. He scored the team’s second goal near the end of the first half in a play in which he demonstrated quality to dribble an Austin defender in a tight space and calmness to find the back of the net with a well-placed shot. Olsen also stood for his vision when he moved outside the box to get on the ball, making some good plays out wide and setting up plays from a deeper position.

The forward was the Dynamo’s most consistently dangerous attacking player in the match, getting very involved in the team’s offensive plays. Olsen was the team’s center forward, but moved a lot in the final third, making runs behind the opposing backline and dropping deeper to get on the ball and help his team make plays in the central area of the field. He used his first touch very efficiently to create separation from defenders and also made some intelligent turns to get into the penalty box. Olsen was very calm from the penalty kick spot and did a good job of waiting for Austin’s goalkeeper to pick a side before going the other way.

A forward with the Houston Dynamo , Olsen is the third-highest ranked prospect in our list. He played up with the team’s U15 team in the last MLS Next season and even got to appear for their U16 team on some occasions. The son of Dynamo head coach Ben Olsen, he has all the traits to become an elite attacking player as he continues to develop. A prospect with multiple USYNT ID camps under his belt, Olsen is very technical and intelligent, which allows him to consistently make the right plays and pop up in the right spots inside the penalty box to score goals. He’s an elite finisher who rarely misses an opportunity to send the ball into the back of the net, but can also serve as a playmaker, either centrally or on the wing, thanks to his high soccer IQ and solid all-around game.

The son of Houston Dynamo ‘s head coach Ben Olsen, Oscar is one of the most promising prospects in their academy. He’s a starter in their 15s team and was recently part of their 16s squad in the Generation Adidas Cup. An extremely technical and intelligent player, Olsen is lethal inside the penalty box as he consistently gets into good spots to finish chances and is very good and reliable at sending the ball into the back of the net – he also works well with his back to the goal and can make nice turns on defenders. Even though the striker role suits him better, Olsen can also be used as a second forward, as he does a very good job of dribbling in tight spaces, combining with teammates and driving the ball forward.

Olsen decided the match with two goals and was the Dynamo’s most dangerous offensive player. The forward didn’t get much service in the first half, but made the most of the best opportunity he had, dribbling the ball through the left in a transition play and showing calm and class to beat the keeper. In the second half, Olsen played a little bit deeper, as a second forward, and was more involved in the team’s playmaking. He displayed great quality dribbling in tight spaces and connecting with his teammates and also appeared in wide positions to make crosses. He drew a penalty kick with just a few minutes left and was ice-cold to covert it and score the game-winning goal for his team.

Oscar, the son of Dynamo’s MLS team head coach, Ben Olsen, was the offensive target for his team. Playing as a striker, he offered many offensive options with his well-rounded game. Olsen would at times drop deeper to get on the ball and engage in combination plays, but also worked well closer to the penalty box with his back to the goal. His movement off the ball was excellent as he made some dangerous runs attacking the space between the center back and the outside back, getting into good spots. He scored the team’s goal in a beautiful play, in which he got the ball into the penalty box, turned into a defender and finished with power and precision. Olsen also was very active at putting pressure on opposing defenders when they had the ball.
