Peterson has earned a starting spot in Memorial’s lineup in her first season of high school soccer. She can play out wide or centrally and has spent more time at right back, in part because of an injury to Charlotte Hardig. A technically-sound player, Peterson does all the little things well and is extremely solid defensively, using her athleticism and reading of the game to make stops. Her passing is always very solid and, although she’s not one to often make strong runs down the field, Peterson contributes to the team’s offense in the buildup.
