I got to watch them in a 1-1 first-round tie with Lake Travis that followed with a victory in PKs, in which she was extremely consistent and reliable. A left back, Junek had a primarily defensive role in that match and was extremely solid, remaining disciplined to guard her spot while she intercepted long passes and defended her zone in 1v1 duels. The junior didn’t get to push forward very often, but created a dangerous attacking play when she did, sending a great cross into the box.
